  1. Better angle for the most recent iteration of this play. And...
  2. Thomas and Jackson look like they"re getting shafted a bit. Otherwise I agree that Bostic and Collins are the weak links on defense. Checks out. Settle had a couple of errors last night too.
  3. It's been danced around quite a bit. Diplomatically addressing it. The below interview is interesting from Landon Collins. First 3 minutes. John Keim asks a good question that gets sort-of answered. https://www.si.com/nfl/washingtonfootball/news/landon-collins-reveals-thoughts-on-washington-football-team-change-idea
  4. Bump. Different year, same story. And below is what I expect we'll see a lot of this year as Landon tries to 'make a play' and in the process allow the big play. He and Bostic are dragging down the unit right now. Glaring weaknesses.
  5. Brees did strengthen his arm coming off surgery. He was noticeably throwing a better deep ball. I believe he has talked about it.
  6. Played 12 snaps. How many of those defensive snaps? Not sure, but not many.
  7. Chase certainly got worked last weekend. Dominated by a rookie tackle.
  8. It's still real early. They will do well this year. This management group gets a guaranteed 4 years. Third year is the time for questions. We get tired of the cycle repeating, but they are still in their early-building years. COVID didn't allow for a normal offseason and Rivera was also a coach of the year candidate his first season. They want to build before getting a QB and therefore it's not prime time yet. They are still a year or two away from that. They would have accelerated the timeline with Stafford, however that didn't happen. They have improved the roster. Calls for accountability are just way too early.
  9. Bostic and Fuller for a few plays. St. Juste and Davis growing pains. Scherff with the penalties, smh. Gibson with the brutal fumble. It wasn't all bad.
  10. You will be. 12-5 I'm good with that. A good year to be hyped and aim high. Think 11-6 is the likely outcome. Division Championship season about to begin. They could be great, you know? Best team I can remember in 20 years.
  11. I don't really trust most of the personal takes of sports writers. When they start mentioning sources, I am more interested. Eckler as a checkdown is key, but Young and Sweat are a threat and therefore a back will be blocking more. They are also strong at defending the edge disrupting screens and quick passes. Your runningback isn't winning you games against WFT, it'll be your TE and slot receivers winning in the middle and big passing plays. So Eckler being an X factor ..meh.
  12. Felt like the Bucs made the unforced errors, i.e. mental lapses and turnovers. Sloppy start for them. Bucs look to be dominant. Cowboys looked better than I thought they would, but I still see the 2nd best team in the division.
  13. I think it could be different. That time was a mess. Dak was on the tag and then signed. Not that we should be looking to the Cowboys as an example, but paying their stars may be one.
  14. You can definitely pay your stars. They just need to be your stars. Can't be a guy like Landon Collins. Young McLaurin Sweat Future QB Gibson/Davis/St Juste About 10% of your team, but Young is 4 years away and the QB is 5+ from getting paid. There are two to three waves. It is very doable with the cap on the climb.
  15. Samuel not being available is an issue because of his role in the playbook. Could be akin to Jordan Reed in the Gruden years as far as impact and ability to influence a defense to the benefit of others on O. But..... it's a long season. Can he come back in 4-6 weeks? Does he light it up? If yes, then all is still good. Until he's out for the season, I am chill about the sitch.
  16. Top 5 for: Sports Illustrated Sportingnews Bleacher Report NFL.com - Daniel Jeremiah USA Today LA Times NBC Sports - Peter King (trade up #3) Mostly everyone else had him going at 6. There was plenty of support for Herbert. Sure, there was some sort of 'rise' in the media. That happens in every sport as the scouts finish their assessments and the coaches get to theirs. That happens partway through the hype season. Going back to late 2019 and into January he was considered a top 10 pick in the media. Some having him in the top 15, some in the top 5. Consensus top 5 QB should absolutely be an option at 2. Officially, as per Rivera, it was only Burrow or Chase.
  17. And yet from a statistics perspective it is significant as it is greater than 5%.
  18. WFT wins 30-17 or 23-7 Both predictions proving to be way off is the only accurate prediction I can make.
  19. I think the writing is on the wall for Hopkins and that would be why he's here. By mid-season he's probably the kicker.
