  1. WFT leading the way. Lets see what the other coach introductions sound like. Lots going on this off season. But the term coach centric may be catching in this copy cat league. Is it a ploy to get the fans excited and hide owner meddling? We'll see. coachcentric.mp4

  3. Heineke and Brees are the same height. Brees is 20 pound heavier. But Brees is not giving you the speed Heineke has. Now before you go off the handle. You know damn well I’m not comparing Taylor to Brees from a talent standpoint. Plus a lot of players are list taller or heavier than they really are. Bottom line the kid balled out in both games he played in for us. What other QB of recent has done that for us? I will say that Scott loves him. We’ll see.
  4. All those guys you mentioned are being cussed out by their fanbase. We get the national media's take on them and rarely tune in their games to see what the truth is. They are names. That's it. They don't play well. Otherwise they would be benched and/or leaving their teams. They'd be the franchise. This is not the time to be picking up someone else's trash. Even Fitz is not nearly as magic as he seems. Especially if he's looking to get paid anything over vet min.
  5. Stafford hasn't been durable. I'm satisfied with our current QBs with maybe a reasonably price vet to compete. Who that is is beyond me. None really impress other than Rivers but he can be maddening sometimes. There is not one QB coming out in the draft I'm impressed with either. So drafting one high is a waste IMO. Ron likes veterans (and so do I) and does not have time to be guessing about a rookie prospect. You picked up Montez and he has a year under his belt in this system. Ron has spoken highly of him. I'm cool with them seeing where it takes them for another years. But all in all, I'm good with Kyle and Taylor because they run the offense. I'm done with names; FA that may or may not work out here because they don't buy in. If they aren't young, hungry and on the cusp of being great, I don't want them in the new and improved locker room. And as I look on the list of FA, I don't see one that is going to come in and integrate themselves into the culture. Too many been there done that types IMO. **** Dak btw.
  6. TB was a top defense. They played the run in an effort to make Taylor win with the pass. Taylor showed the ability to throw multiple times with success. That bodes well for next year if Taylor gets the knod. An upgraded WR core, a healthy RB and probably additional help on the Oline and TE. I'm feeling good about the offense next year. TB was stacked. **** that game.
  7. This entire year, I never felt like this offense was in any way open. I liked Alex's ability to calm the huddle and do all the things Ron and the players talked about. But this guy Taylor has the it factor. He hits receivers on the run, sits in the pocket and manuevers it like Rogers. Yea I said it. The offense moves with him in the game. Del Rio said it best. He said all players in the league are good. It's about opportunity. The narrative on Taylor is durability. But you've got to be blind to say this was just a flash. I know a baller when I see one. If Taylor was the backup from the start of the season, this fan base would be much more bullish. We'll go looking for a FA from some other team to come in here and become a champion. even though they weren't able to on their other team. Pay them a boat load of money and run them out of town when they don't meet expectation. **** that.
  8. Kurt Warner was working at a grocery store when he got picked up by the Rams. The best show on turf happened as a result. Just sayin **** normal and **** narrative. Go with who runs your offense at a high level. And here's a hint. It won't be a damn rookie.
  9. A lot of talent in this year's HOF Final 15 Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists: Peyton ManningCalvin JohnsonCharles WoodsonRichard SeymourJared AllenSam MillsJohn LynchRonde BarberZach ThomasReggie WayneTorry HoltLeroy ButlerClay Matthews Jr.Alan FanecaTony Boselli Wow!! Who are the eight?
  10. Montez definitely needs more development unless he's made a significant improvement from his college play. Not sure if that's happened with no real offseason. Big kid with a strong arm. But like DH, he's inconsistent. Ron says he looks good in practice. Shrug.
  11. I did not know Kyle Allen only played in Carolina because Heinicke got hurt. I think the fact that he plays with confidence and the players spoke glowingly about him is a good thing. They said he knows what to do. Not to be taken lightly. We know what happens when a QB does not know what to do.
  12. There are a few WFT reporters I want to slap in the face if given a chance. They are always asking (what I call) Karma questions. One week they brought focus to the team doing well with the COVIT ****. Boom! There was an interview after the Steelers game where some of the reporters were hell bent on focusing on the teams low injury rate. Boom! They're the ones that would remind a pitcher throwing a no-hitter they just need 2 more strike. STFU!
  13. Playing the right 432hz music. Positive Nice. Spent a little time in Phuket. Thailand is awesome!
  14. A lot of talk lately about Kyle Smith and the GM job. For me, I'm good with the current structure. It's actually the best way to keep the coach centric approach IMO. But for the sake of keeping Kyle on board, I'd give him the title but keep his duties the same. You already have Rob Rogers (who came over with Ron) working contract negotiations and salary cap stuff. I don't think we need one guy dealing with the media, reporting to the business side and negotiating contracts while trying to hone in on the best players in the draft or finding a FA that fits. That was Bruce. We don't need that **** at all. Give him the title. but don't break what (I believe) we have going.
  15. This is indicative of some of the details we sometimes overlook as fans. Take this for instance. Consider the importance of gaining information on the defense as soon as possible before each snap. You know the D is probably going to disguise their look initially. So our offense would be looking to run motion (to identify the coverage) or Alex would be doing something with the snap count to get the defense to react and show something (i.e. blitzer). But if our offensive players are not in the right position from the start, you have to wait for that guy to get in his spot to start your pre-snap read. Well if the play clock is running down, you may not have to time to audible, change the routes or protections if you need to. Notice my man Cam go to the wrong spot on two consecutive plays. We get the first down. But Alex didn't look happy the second time. The Bengals defense is garbage, so its not as alarming. But the details are important against disciplined defenses. playset.mp4
  16. So Marcus has some dog in him. He's young and probably needs to develop a bit more. I actually see him being opposite Logan next year. Next man invest in some steel toe cleats.
  17. IMO its best to work with what you got (at this point in the season), unless you already got a guy on your board and he's available. It's unrealistic to expect a guy to come in and give you what Gibson gave you. But here's a list of RBs available on other teams. Not sure what the waiver wire looks like? I'm thinking Gibson is cornbread fed and will be back sooner than we think. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchartpos/RB
  18. The WR corps is shaping up reasonably. I think once Alex gains full trust in all of them, you'll see plays where (McClaurin is taking away three defenders) other WRs (running wide open) will get the ball. Oh yea, that happened on ThanksGIVING. #24 for the cowgirl was man-man with Isiah Wright. #24 see's that McClaurin has several steps on #26 and decides to help. That leaves Isiah Wright wide open on the post because the safety committed to McClaurin well before Alex released the ball. I think it was a good read because who knew Isiah's man would branch off like that. I still think Alex had his mind made up.
  19. I'm starting to like this offense. Notice that if this play goes, McClaurin is one on one with a LB. And lets not forget AG is a natural WR. You also get your normal LB on Logan. But the overall impression is that it confused the hell out of the cowgirls. Cost them a timeout they'd probably like to use for their own purposes. abouttogetsmoked.mp4
  20. Give him another year of experience and he'll be absolutely more dangerous. He's still working on the vision a RB needs to be more of beast than he is now (which is a scary thought).
  21. So Moreland talked about a big problem with run fits after the Gints game. If this hasn't already been discussed, anybody know who the culprit was? I know Ron talked about it, but pretty much said they just need the guys to buy in.
  22. If Saahdiq is healthy, I'm a bit excited to see what he and Lucas will provide on the left side this weekend. Particularly in the run game.
  23. Ron does a lot of spitting during his press conferences. Is that a result of the treatment? No biggie, but just never seen that before.
  24. Not a bust. He's made plays. But he's also missed some tackles and assignments. Case in point..... Pretty easy assignment. No explaining needed. The pics says it all. Should have been a negative play for the offense. But one missed assignment And boom
