  1. Collins was ok. Just spent a lot of time making up for the FS issues. We've seen many times when he does play within his capability, he's making big hits for losses and causing turnovers. Communication was always the issue with this defense in the past. It still is for the most part. He was brought her to play in the box. But of course like most FA that come here, they end up playing outside of what got them the FA money. So who's fault is that?
  2. Just left the dentist office, so I admit I'm a bit buzzed. Plus I'm drinking bourbon to combat when the local anesthesia wears off. But here's my take as I listen to Jack Del Rio's interview today.... This team is extremely young and inexperienced (using my best Obvious impression). The organization has a boat load of cap space and pretty good young players with high ceilings on relatively small contracts. They've got cap space for free agents next year to fill some of extreme needs next year. I have a feeling they are going to spend money on a veteran wideout again off course. But I also think they may grab Cam and a Del Rio type corner and safety. I've said a million times.....this is tryouts. I honestly think next year, this team turns the corner. My expectation this year is to see what player(s) buy in to the new way. I like the team want to win. But I see Ron's vision. You take a look around the league and you'll see some of the strong teams are getting old or they are soon to lose some premier players. Thus they will be looking at a rebuild (i.e. the Patriots, Seahawks, 49ers and Saints) . Just sayin'
  3. So you've got Chase and boat load of good picks. You've got Ron and the rest of the new regime. You've got a women as the face of the overall media. Ok. Now the team starts to win. Do you change your doom and gloom?
  4. This is not necessarily direct solely at you but.. I think we all need to take a chill pill. Its not like we are not on this forum, all rooting for the team and even have hashtags symbolizing the team. We all knew about the cheerleader story and we all know about the latest. Yet we're still here. So besides this organization, who's culpable. That would be you. If its so important to your well-being, I think you'd be better served at stepping in front of a mirror? Or you need to face another fact. That is, we're football fans, rooting for our hometown team located in the epicenter for drama, politics, and conspiracy. The only ones not really ****ing with this area's bull**** are the players. They play football and don't have time to get caught up with stupid ****. But we do. We've been bred in this sludge. The Washington Post, 106.7 the fan and all the other media outlets cater to the fan base's general hunger for bull****. If not, they'd have a feel good story once every blue ****ing moon. But they don't. Its always doom and gloom. So with all that said, I believe that is the culture Ron needs to shift. The players are going to play. Hell players are here one day, gone the next. A good leader can change a organization fairly easy. But the media narrative, the mindset of the fans and eventually the national narrative is the challenge Ron faces. It's actually a perfect time for Ron to do it. Winning helps a lot.
  5. Welp....looks like AG or AGG is going to have to step it up. I still think the Redskins are looking for a vet presence to play opposite McLaurin. Just don't think they'll have time as it stands. Not to mention, if the season is cut short, you've a got a vet on a one year contract getting paid a full season after the first game played (I think). Additionally, things are not in place with the PA right now, so player movement might be sparse. Hey, why not pick Reed back up? I mean the curse is lifted ain't it?
  6. I suppose their tryouts sucked. We'll probably see more movement as Ron continues to review a perennial losing organization. This is the time to do it.
  7. Not trying to politicize on this thread, but just over the past 5 weeks, 350 companies have pulled their money out of Facebook. That is staggering IMO. And companies are moving quickly. Who knows how many have pulled their money from the Redskins? These owners are more than likely pulling away from the Redskins for the sake of their own companies regardless of how they truly feel about the issues. Hell, this may very well be a power move by the minority owners. Maybe they're seeking to oust Dan while at the same time gaining popularity in their primary businesses for standing up sort of speak. It actually makes Dan out to be another Marshall. And in this day and age, he's liable to lose a lot (if not all) of the team's sponsors if he maintains his normal quiet approach. Maybe Ron's popularity around the league and in the community will serve as a foundation in an otherwise crumbling set of circumstances. Maybe Ron can reference Dan in ways that makes Snyder out to be a swell guy that is in touch with the current climate. Who ****ing knows. But at some point, Dan better sit down with some reputable news reporter and change his narrative. Changing the name is the best move and this is the year to do it. New name, new uniform, new message, new coach, new team and new hope. Fact is, the Redskins team and name has had roughly 3-5 good years out of it's 88 year history. I remember the Wizards changed their name. I happens. All will be fine.
  8. Interesting development regarding the ownership group. Particularly the part about FEDEX calling for the name change. The FEDEX president and CEO has been part owner of the team for the past 2 decades. So what is that saying after all this time? Did Frederick Smith have an issue with the name for the past couple decades but didn't have the votes to make it happen? Or is he just now having a come to jesus moment? Either way, it looks like him and the other two minority owners are bouncing (selling their stakes in the franchise). So what does that say? Is it saying that Dan actually is for keeping the name and maybe even wanted the statue of George Marshall to remain? Who knows. But it looks like the ones that are for change are leaving siting they are not happy being partners with Dan. Not trying to open up a discussion about the name change or the current events. But it does make me want to say, Hmm?
  9. The Redskins ticket sales might go up if they send folks this. The music alone had me ready for the season to start. Hell I almost got on the treadmill. Lol
  10. I like the log jam on the offensive line. I think they'll figure it out. I'm actually thinking Saahdiq might be in play at left guard with Lucas starting at left tackle. Lucas is a man child that seems to be the second coming of Ty Nsekhe (without the injuries). I'd definitely look at that experiment. Although you could always have Saahdiq as your swing tackle and see what you got in Wes Schweitzer at the left guard position. Kyle and Ron seem to have done a pretty good job of obtaining lineman with the ability to play multiple positions. So we'll see what combination has the best impact. But for me, I like the idea of converting a tackle to a guard. Particularly a blind side tackle that would understand intimately about what Lucas is doing and can compliment it in both the run and pass game.
  11. I guess him and Jim Mara will have a lot to talk about. Mara has been on the committee for some time now.
  12. I wonder if Rivera being on the competition committee help a little with the refs?
  13. Look at this bull**** picture posted on NFL.com. Every ****ing year these ****es are touted as some type of champion when they ain't won ****. GTFO of here. They won't do **** this year either. Sorry ass dallas.🙄
  14. Listening to a Adrian Petersen interview on Redskins.com. He gets into talking about being excited to play against the Ravens this year. He mentions wanting to see Jackson play the Qb position based on his ability to run the ball. But peculiar enough, he goes on to mention Cam and how his ability to pull the ball down and run changes the run game for the better. Found that interesting that he would mention Cam without being ask. Maybe Cam mentioning he would be open to play in a backup role is the right circumstance Ron is looking for. Just sayin'
  15. For what its worth. Egles fan is **** out of luck because he's on our team. I give him credit that he recognized these guys before the draft and I honestly hadn't even heard of them.
  16. Now that the Trent Williams saga is over, we now know how much of a **** up Bruce really was. According to new information the Redskins was offered a 1st ****ing round pick last year for Trent. WTF over?
  17. Get Wale the **** off these draft party shows on Redskins.com. Please. This bama is rude as ****. Interrupting and ****. Shut the **** up and let everybody talk. I bet Larry is regretting that move. Wale been irrelevant for a while so he acting like this is his big shot. It's like he trying too hard. This bama even got Smoot quiet. STFU bruh!
  18. Sounds like he ain't scared. Mentioned that he's block Payne and sounded like did his thing. Check out the 1:40 mark. So the Redskins are getting stacked with national champions.
  19. Yea, I'm reminded of the same narrative Doctson got from the youtube highlights he displayed. There is a reason why Gandy was available in the late rounds. I'd be more optimistic if he got picked late due to disciplinary concern or injury. We'll see because he's going up against the pros now.....not Navy. 2019 Game by game stats
  20. With a full off season I think he makes the 53. But without the off season what would other teams have on film to convince their staff to change anything they've done in the draft? I actually think he'll make the 53 with Cam and/or Quinn getting the axe. This staff looked at film from last year and maybe the past couple years and decided to go WR.
  21. Yea Cam and Quinn are done. Although, Gandy could find himself on PS due to the short off season prep. Its really just a matter of who grabs hold of the new offense.
  22. We'll see. He's a Kyle pick so I'll give him the benefit for now.
