Scott Turner seems to be a no frills, down to earth football guy. I was watching his first called game against the Falcons. Actually saw a freaking pick play in the red zone for a touchdown. What a ****ing concept. Lots of crossing routes which I like. He had a nice mix of plays.

The Redskins are coming into this year with plenty of cap space. They have a top draft pick to choose or parlay for additional draft picks. And of course money to take advantage of free agency. That being said, Rivera said that he'll be looking for a veteran QB. He didn't say whether that QB will start but I am definitely in agreement with bringing in a productive QB. As a matter of fact, there is a boat load of UFA QBs in the market this year. I see what you're saying. But I'm not so concerned with how the KOC decision is viewed. I think if KOC is retained and he stinks up the joint and still remains an inordinate amount of time, I'll say there is meddling involved. But I will have a bit more patience before i come to that conclusion. I remember the game Cousins and McVay were sitting on the bench and McVay was saying I'm learning (at the 1 minute mark) after the offense seemed to open things up a bit.

Yea. They kept 6 last year. So maybe they're giving Kidsy and Sims a lot of looks to gain some possible compensatory picks if possible (all bit it low possibility). I think Doctson is out of here because you can't hide Davis or Cam on the practice squad.

I wonder if he's the catcher in the dugout waiting for the in season relief pitcher/QB that may enter the starting role later on in the season if things go south? Never really heard the older QBs single him out as the gu1y. He's not supplanting any of the current starters to my knowledge. It also looks like Robert Davis is emerging into what Gruden thought he'd be. This is going to be interesting seeing that the rookie hasn't made a play in the preseason.

Last Gruden interview, someone ask where McClaurin stands with his tailbone injury and will he be playing Thursday. Gruden replied "he's been practicing every week, every day so he's ah, he's been fine to practice" Something seems off in that quote, right? I mean, he didn't say Terry was going to play and he didn't give his normal accolades when talking about his players. I wonder if Terry is in the doghouse?

We'll see, but I believe they need at least one smaller, quick twitch receiver that can explode off the line and get into his route with separation. I don't believe that guy is on the roster. Some may say Crowder is that guy. Problem is, he puts the ball on the ground way too much for my taste. I'd like one 5'10 - 5'11 explosive dog on this team. One with a chip and some fire (alah Steve Smith or Tana Man). BTW, with the moves the Redskins are making, its clear this is a make or break year for this staff. Alex does seem to use his RBs a lot in the passing game. It kinda makes sense, since most times there's a mismatch with a LB in man/man. I'm wondering what Keith Marshall's status is. Gruden spoke highly of him before Marshall's injury last year. If that's a bust, I would still like to see (the team's name sake) James Washington picked up in the draft to help this receiving corp - but at the RB position. This is a WR at 6'0, weighing 205 pounds. Washington has outstanding ball skills (Biletnikoff winner) and is projected to go in the second round. Please pick this guy up. Can you imagine a LB matched up with this guy? Defenses will have to adjust. The more adjustments, the more holes, the more scores.
