  1. Cousins with the only notable performance in week 1: 33-44, 344, 2TD, 1INT in a Vikings win.
  2. This clearly wasn't your typical stinger. They're doing Chase (or Chase for not clearing the air) a disservice by not truly explaining what he dealing with. They did this last time with the knee and letting the narrative run wild before the true severity of the injury came out.
  3. I felt bad that happened to Charles cuz I knew nobody would care he got tripped by his own guy. He's already behind the 8 ball with everyone thinking he sucks. He can't afford bad luck.
  4. I think people are trying to make themselves feel better and put a positive spin on it by saying they Cards are better than we think. No they're not. Undisciplined team that commits a ton of penalties, their offense was putrid, and our offense suffered from what we all suspected they would suffer from. Inexperienced QB and a bad OL. So their defense really probably isn't any good either. They're out here trying to tank for Caleb Williams and folks are acting like they're supposed to scare people.
  5. The defense did fine. There's no metric that says the defense struggled with Josh Dobbs. 210 yards of offense, 4-14 on 3rd down, 3.5 yards per pass, 3.6 yards per play as a team. The Cardinal offense had nothing. What they did have was a bunch of turnovers helping them out. They only scored 6 legitimate points on the defense. They got 7 on a defensive TD and another 3 on a turnover in Wash territory, already in FG range. They proceeded to gain all of 1 yard on that possession, by the way. In the past when we had bad OL, at least we could always run it. 3.3 per rush on 28 carries is gonna lose you games. The takeaway for me is the OL lived down to expectations, and they are going nowhere with that group. I dont wanna hear anything about taking time to gel or any of that. We know this OL isn't good. A good defensive front will eat them alive. They got worked by a bad one yesterday. I'm not sure there's anyone on the OL that individually is any good, so I dont expect that collectively they will coalesce into anything worthwhile. They were 21st in offense last year, I dont see them being a whole lot better than that this year. I think Howell's ability to playoff script will mask a lot upfront. Having said all that, I do allow for Howell to get better with more reps and games under his belt. There just won't be a ton of clean pockets back there. The defense will keep the season interesting. But I forsee a lot of 20-16 type games, going either way.
  6. If they can get a few first downs and control field position, this defense can hold it.
  7. I think they found out Howell ain't quite ready to be slinging it every play. Especially with this OL. Run that thing.
  8. It took a half for these jokers to totally ruin the enthusiasm. Arizona is likely to be in the running for the first pick in the draft and they're leading in the 4th quarter.
  9. Two turnovers, one returned for a TD. But the OL has not been good either.
  10. At this point, re-signing Sweat should absolutely be "let's wait and see". If he doesnt pull a contract year Daron Payne type season, why are you dropping top dollar on Sweat? He's bern good, not great. Cuz remember Payne was basically outta here when last season started. I feel like Sweat is in a similar situation. What I'm afraid of is the situation with Young will make us less critical of whether Sweat should come back. Like, we'll feel we cant let them both walk at the same time. And for the record, I'm not against Sweat coming back, he's been a good player. But I think as an edge rusher, he'll command more than I would be willing to pay for what he's done.
  11. Short of having a Pro Bowl year, I dont see how you re-sign him. And if he's gonna miss games outta the gate, it's only fair to question his durability. He's already likely out for week 1, if he misses week 2, he will have missed exactly 50% of the games since he's been in the league. He'd have to.come back from this injury and play out of his mind. Just looking solid isn't gonna cut it. He'll have to regain his top form with somebody else cuz it won't be here.
  12. Ron surely will watch some other team act on it.
  13. I put $100 of bonus bets on the Commanders to win the division. It's free money, might as well.
  14. Makes sense to me, no reason to tie up a spot on a marginal guy at a position nobody really uses anymore. PS him if you need him.
  15. Amongst final cuts so far: WR Trey Quinn OL Ross Piersbacher
  16. I'm not anti-chain restaurant like some people. I can go to Olive Garden and enjoy it.
  17. This offense needs all the work and positive momentum it can get. I would not want to go into week 1 with this group barely playing and learning a new offense.
  18. Don't forget Sellers came out of college and was in such demand, he had to go to the CFL for a few years before he found a home here.
  19. What physical evidence are they supposed to produce? An alien in a duffel bag they smuggled out of a top secret, secure facility? What they have produced is documentation, names, and locations to where the physical evidence is and who has it. It's up to Congress now.
  20. The first unit OL lived down to expectations. They're singlehandedly gonna cost Ron AND Bienemy their jobs after the season. All this talk about Bienemy's coaching style won't matter cuz they're gonna torpedo the offense and nobody's gonna want him back.
  21. That ending made zero sense. Logan Paul might be the most must-see person on the entire roster. It's incredible how good he is at this.
