  1. snowflake. I think he gave out his phone number too.
  2. "...opinions that the president has long expressed in private." Pretty clear Losing Trump deniers following you on social media... that's Winning! I like winners. Jodie Foster Does the official charcoal drawing competition happen at the official ES tailgate? I might like to livestream that Total shocker. Even some Trump deniers don't really like Nazis. Too soon! For others, he said some words once. Let's move on.
  3. link to that press conference. Took out the https://www. at the beginning so it didn't embed the whole thing. I haven't seen it yet, but saw a 2 minute snippet. Holy ****, this guy! youtube.com/watch?v=-_z2bxrehJQ
  4. Good news Jews! (anyone starting a Klezmer band is welcome to that) You're leading Muslims, feminists, journalists, democrats, black people, and Mexicans in the subhumanity rankings! That is a strong showing out of the gate. Congrats!
  5. visionary's post a few above...This is another sort of terrifying part of what's going on to me. Electronic warfare. Hacking accounts, bots, etc. amplifying their messages. Do people believe that the alt-right haven't been, and aren't currently working arm and arm with forces hostile to American values. Some of them in positions of great power in this country. Why does the DOJ need to know information about every visitor to disruptj20.org? What use is that info to them? https://www.dreamhost.com/blog/we-fight-for-the-users/
  6. Elle Reeve http://www.hbo.com/vice/cast-and-crew/elle-reeve/index.html Vice is so good.
  7. On the flipside, they're also getting plenty of attention from decent people, now fully aware of that these emboldened hate groups are no longer afraid to come on out and show their faces, maybe in your town next. Might be a recruitment tool for the good guys too.Might also mean that more people will vote with their conscience in the future, not whatever lead to Nazi sympathizers in the White House
  8. The Richmond mayor reiterated his position on the statues remaining, but adding contextualization, just today. That's what the 'flaggers' rally, planned for Sept. 16th, was supposed to be in protest of (contextualization). The permit is currently under review by the GSC, and the flaggers group themselves are considering not having it so soon after the events of this past weekend. Their official view is that the statues here do not need contextualization, and they honor the war dead, which I find pretty weak. They are statues of individuals. I guess 'honoring the war dead' could be someone's interpretation. On the other hand, If one person or group can decide what the interpretation of a statue should be, other people and groups should have at least as much of a right to do so as well. They fear contextualization as a sort of gateway for people later having more solid ground to argue about the obvious racial reasons the statues are there to begin with, and their eventual removal. I also agree that these decisions, and the path forward, should be up to the cities in which they exist. Some psychopath from Maumee Ohio, or a flagger from Crozet, VA should really not have reason to think that their opinion matters on the direction this city takes on the issue. I know the Lee Statue here is actually on a tiny little chunk of state property though, so state laws have to be taken into consideration. I think some of the others might be too.
  9. There's a Virginia Flaggers Rally in Richmond on Sept. 16th. I'm not gonna link to their ****. It's being talked about on the RVA Reddit. This is their effort at pushback to only a discussion of planned compromise as far as "contextualizing" the statues. There's a commission here that has just begun to explore and discuss solutions/options. The first public hearing about it was last week, and unsurprisingly turned into a real **** show, with lots of non-residents coming to let their views be known, as I understand. It could get ugly here if these Nazi ****s come streaming in, which I think they will in some amount. Hopefully it'll get shut down, given what just happened. I imagine they'll have the National Guard activated and ready beforehand. They should. I have faith in our mayor to be on top of this, and I'll be supporting what he advises.
  10. Training camp emergency rain procedure: If you need it and, like me, are a cheapskate and don't want to pay for rain-gear, find a stash of the big black trash bags near one of the garbage cans. In the past, they've kept a few rolled up, and close by, for when they empty the trash. Fashion yourself a stylish emergency poncho out of one. You'll stun, dazzle, and amaze the paparazzi as you hit the green carpet in your custom, cutting-edge, hand-made polyethylene poncho, and be the envy of all the soaking wet people around you.
  11. Definitely seen that more than a few times. One of my favorite things is when I run into someone running two or three AVs at once, and wondering why their system is slow and locking up. AVG vs Avast vs Avira vs Defender. Epic battle nobody wins.
  12. Just a FYI, for those that don't know. For small businesses, Avast, provides free AV where you can mange endpoints, and do mostly what you can do with other business type AVs via a web interface at business.avast.com. Malwarebytes has also just come out with a new version (paid) that is supposedly a full solution to replacing traditional AV, with active protection from zero day exploits, ransomware, etc. I found a sample of a locky variant that I was messing around with on a test network. Windows Defender on Windows 10, surprisingly, stopped it every time until I disabled it. After that, I disabled Defender and the new MBAM stopped it. Then I uninstalled MBAM and disabled Defender. It immediately encrypted files on the local machine and started to propagate to other machines. Haven't had a chance to mess with it much since, but that was encouraging. We've had three companies call us for help with ransomware. None of them use any kind of spam filter. All of them got it from end users opening up incredibly obvious spam email attachments. It is a mess, and takes forever to clean up after. Getting files back is difficult, if not impossible.
  13. Showtime's going to have streaming/on-demand access to both seasons of Twin Peaks again starting Dec 26th. http://showtimeallaccess.tumblr.com/post/153485453147/happy-holidays-from-showtime-were-thrilled-to
  14. Yeah, that's some unbelievable BS if Farmar got suspended four games for texting coaches, and they only get a fine for real time, pre-play communications from head coach to QB. I always thought that if f communications go down, the other team was suppossed to stop using the helmet mics until the problem is corrected for both teams. This league and Goodell's unevenness in applying "rules" and penalties for teams violating them is truly a joke. I guess somebody else will have to be made an example of for doing something similar to this, at some point soon.
  15. The online NFL Network schedule shows it re-airing on New Years eve at 9 pm.
  16. From Gruden's quotes yesterday he said that TD to Sproles was Preston Smith's responsibility and that Breeland actually made a pretty heads up play by spotting it and trying to pick him up. Gruden also talked about how he's been playing both sides, playing safety, nickel, moving around a lot, so maybe that has something to do with it. It does seem like he's having a bit of a off year to me too though.
  17. Remembered this discussion, because we deal with it a lot still. I just found a quick way to get Windows 7 to get updates without having to wait hours upon hours for it to finally detect them. You have to set Windows Update to never check for updates, reboot, then install KB3020369. After that, install KB3172605. These are the links for the 64 bit installers: KB3020369 and KB3172605 . Reboot again after installing both (in order). Re-enable Automatic Updates and check for updates. Just did this and was able to get updates checked for and installing in about 10-15 minutes.
  18. Roadhouse Swayze and Young Guns Estevez. Machio would be fun though cause he could distract people with his crane pose while you sneak up and sweep their legs.
  19. Pretty close to that. I joined Dec 2007 and it was right after that. The banning talk reminded me of it, and I thought "That's pretty random", so I posted it.
  20. Polywog. He got banned just after quoting a block of text from me years ago, although I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only reason. I loved his posts, and was sorry my craptastic posting style caused that to happen. Whatever he quoted, he edited to just Nooooooooooo! Just had to get this off my chest. I'm sorry wog. Besides that, I predict a big week for DJax.
