  1. Brian McNally ‏@bmcnally14 9m9 minutes ago #Terps fans: MUST read. RT @bruce_arthur On the legend of @greivisvasquez at Maryland, where he remains deeply loved: http://www.thestar.com/sports/basketball/2015/03/28/for-greivis-vasquez-his-time-in-maryland-was-nirvana-arthur.html Good luck ladies Um...No offense but I hope you are both underwhelmed by your prospects this year. Terrapins Insider ‏@TerpsInsider 3m 3 minutes ago Per source, Melo Trimble and Jake Layman will "go through the process" of evaluating where they stand for NBA Draft before making decision. Shell Shocked ‏@ShellShockUMD 19s20 seconds ago #LRT about what we should have expected to hear on Trimble/Layman. Not worried, think both will be back to improve stock.
  2. Ladies play Duke at 4:30 today if anyone didn't know and is interested. I needed another reason to be more of a sloth today. Perfect.
  3. I'm using up all my likes. This is a great point that i hadn't even thought of. I'm sure it was mentioned, but another thing I think that speaks volumes about Turgeon and this staff is not trotting Melo back out there against WVA in the most important game for this team in years. That's a clear message that this coach, and the staff, do really care about the well-being and long term future of these kids. Not just lip service. I think potential future recruits have got to see that as the type of program they want to be a part of, and the kind of coach they want to play for. Maybe there wasn't a choice, really, I don't know, but I think it shows everyone Turgeon has their backs, on the court and off.
  4. foom, I gotta agree with Taze and kosher. Throttle down a little man. Both Major and kosher are well respected, long time posters here. I don't think it's advisable, or very cool, to trash talk in a thread of another team either (especially after a tough loss), but Major's comment about sour grapes was pretty timid. Poorly timed, and in the wrong thread maybe, but not really malicious. I think kosher is just trying to help get you through the anger stage of the loss. If this were a Terps only board, or someone was maliciously trolling, I could see it a little better, but this is a come one-come all Skins board. We're all a big happy family here, right? Terps fans have a lot to be happy about after this season, and it's only getting better with last night's news. I don't want to speak for anyone else though, so I'll shut up now. Just my two cents.
  5. It;s huge. The comments in that Testudo Times link I posted are hilarious. Terp Nation is fired up, to say the least! **** just got real. I laughed pj. I'm downright giddy. V
  6. Well, that is fantastic. Happy Friday Terps. All Eyes On Me‏@Diamond_Stone33 I Am Committing To The University Of Maryland#Terps Alex Kirshner ‏@alex_kirshner 32m32 minutes ago Maryland may have a Trimble-Nickens-Layman-Carter-Stone lineup. Four All-B1G candidates, a likely top-5 preseason ranking. http://www.testudotimes.com/2015/3/27/7996099/diamond-stone-recruiting-maryland-commits-wisconsin Jeff Ermann ‏@Jeff_Ermann 15m15 minutes ago Diamond Stone's dad: "All four teams were quality choices ... [but] Maryland, they've got upside." http://maryland.247sports.com/Bolt/Diamond-Stone-Commits-to-Maryland-36447306 HaHa! Testudo Times retweeted Pete Volk ‏@Pete_Volk 25m25 minutes ago Pete Volk retweeted Sean Endicott If we, as Maryland fans, don't immediately start using "he went to Jared" for future Nickens threes, I quit Pete Volk added, Sean Endicott @Sean_Endicott @testudotimes Trimble to Stone. Stone back out to Nickens. HE WENT TO JARED
  7. Pretty good interview with Gary Williams on this and a little discussion about the loss to WVA early on, If you have an hour or so... http://imsradio.podbean.com/e/ims-radio-show-029-32415/#.VRWpo-j_beM.twitter Williams interview starts about 27:00
  8. I was talking yesterday about how I thought WVA had a legitimate shot at the upset. I got a feel for these types of things. Haha. I think Maryland would have gotten curb stomped too, maybe to a lesser degree, because we wouldn't have been in that bad of foul trouble early.
  9. Well, people will be interested after this craziness. Something seems a bit odd with this whole story.
  10. Maybe that had something to do with it. Judging by some of the stories this morning, maybe the crowd got into his head a little. He was definitely off the whole game, and rattled by that pressure D. Nobody else stepped up either though. Everyone contributed their share of bad play last night. They fell apart once Melo went out.
  11. I thought Turgeon was trying to figure out something, he just couldn't come up with a solution. Without Melo, Dez should have been able to do an adequate job of ball handling but he couldn't. We've all seen that before. I know he tried with Wiley and Varun too. Nobody was good enough to take care of the ball. God bless that feisty little genius Varun, but he should not be attempting to be the primary ball handler in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Just not enough skill behind Melo.
  12. She's an assistant for daddy at WVU right? Way to rep your employer. I hope she gets **** canned for that crap.
  13. I see the shoulder to the face. That was a big hit. That'd be a flag on Brandon Meriweather. It was a bang bang play though. They missed the call and decided not to call a flagrant. It definitely should have been a foul though.
  14. I don't see Melo leaving either. I do see some mocks have Dez in the second now, which is different from the middle of the season. Next year, this is gonna be a completely different team. Wiley was a little disappointing. I know he flashed somewhere this year. Can't remember when though.
  15. whatever you want to say, this team fought til the end, just like every game this year. It was an unexpectedly great year for an overachieving team. I'm sorry to see Dez go out with a real dud of a game, and yes, please come back Melo.
  16. Dez Wells does not forget. Revenge Game! Haha "His team beat my team when I was 12 years old. I'm not sure if he remembers that, but I don't forget," Wells said. "It'll be a grudge match tomorrow. It'll be really, really physical and we welcome that." http://maryland.247sports.com/Article/Newly-Experienced-Terps-Relaxed-Heading-into-WVU-Game-36321300
  17. Cardiac Terps. I think every time I watch them, I lose a few minutes off my life. So fun to have them back in the tourney. Haha Varun was the ace in the hole. Brilliant!
  18. E. Victor is now E. Victed Has Layman got a shot up yet?
  19. Here we are again folks. The foul trouble is...troubling. Lets go Robert Morris! Clap Clap ClapClapClap
  20. Ditto. I think this should be a tough game. Also, it was a trendy 1st round upset pick. Good thing is I think the Terps know Valpo is really good and will have to be on their game. After watching the games yesterday, that should be even clearer. Seems like it may be a little bit of an advantage to play on the second day. http://maryland.247sports.com/Article/Four-Questions-Maryland-vs-Valparaiso-36287868 "Valparaiso isn’t your typical mid-major. It starts three players taller than 6-foot-7 and its biggest strength is its rebounding. Maryland, meanwhile, has struggled on the glass, especially against quicker or more physical teams. It ranked ninth out of 14 Big Ten teams on the boards. If the Crusaders were to beat Maryland, it seems the recipe would start with out-rebounding the Terps."
