  1. As I pointed out to a friend, with young QBs, the full season stats don’t matter. The key is to focus on trailing numbers. More fair to judge vets on full season numbers as they are finished products
  2. Agreed. Walker is the best back this team will have faced this season. Going to have to put up points
  3. He was a playcaller at Stanford. Not sure how I’d feel about handing the playcalling reigns over to him. May be a moot point - a HC with an offensive background will probably stay as the playcaller
  4. He seems to be getting rid of the ball faster for the long developing plays, is looking to Jahan more and is sliding more when he runs
  5. Exactly. Look what the Ravens did to them on the ground. Can’t have Sam throw the ball 50 times vs them this week
  6. We are the type of team they feast on but the Seahawks were a frontrunning fraud last year that finished the season weak and it is lining up the same for them this year. Look at who they have beaten. Their only impressive win is the Lions. Compare their second half schedule to their first half. They play the Niners twice, the Eagles and the Cowboys. Highest they finish is 9-8
  7. That’s not good. We gotta hope Tyrod comes back soon. Don’t want Williams or Maye to be Giants next year
  8. Seattle is not a very good team - bit of a fraud. Look at who they have beat and who they have lost to. Their one impressive win is vs the Lions. They have lost to the Packers and Rams. They got exposed vs the Ravens yesterday
  9. That too. Let him stay on Lockett and let Fuller or BSJ take Metcalf. Think it was Fuller who did a good job on him in 2021
  10. Not going to jump on one good game for Forbes against a bad group of receivers. However, Quan has quietly shown he has playmaker in him. Had a sack be was robbed off in ATL, forced a fumble on teams and just had a nice pick. His PDs were high level too - think it was against Philly he showed off that 40 inch vert. We have a player in him, and, while a lineman was a more obvious need, Mauch has stunk as a rookie and JMS wasn’t very good before he got hurt. Torrence is the guy we missed out on if we go by rookie performance but he wasn’t a schematic fit here due to his lack of movement traits (which is not as relevant anyway, given how much EB passes the ball)
  11. You are not beating the Seahawks if the plan is to bring 4. Geno will kill you from a clean pocket if he has all day. They need to send their athletes like Davis and Quan on blitzes
  12. Crowder looked like he had “it” when Garcon and Jackson were here but then dropped a bunch of balls and struggled when he was forced to be the guy toward the end. Now, he is back in the situation where Terry and Jahan are shouldering the load. This is when he is at his best - bring him back
  13. I doubt if there is a story, it is anything major. NFL teams have investigators and the Niners wouldn’t have given up a Day 2 pick for him if this issue was major. My guess is this has to do with his weed usage
  14. It’s s good sign he is getting his hands on a lot of balls. Points to the right instincts on that front. BSJ gets his hands on a fraction of the balls
  15. He’s been mentioned. The question I have about him is whether he has a HC demeanor
  16. ATL is such a mismanaged team. However, I was watching their game and there was an infographic that they have one of the easiest SOS’s left.
  17. Nah. He did do an interview with JP predraft where he said DC fans have “fake love” for their players.
  18. Wentz? Sam gave him praise last season and he knows EB's offense having played under Pederson forever . . . . (jk)
  19. Bumping this. Are any of these sites mobile friendly?
  20. This is a hack good teams exploit. They are able to get guys in their late 20s/early 30s to sign short term cheapish contracts and perform similarly to the guys in their mid 20s getting overpaid for “potential” and other reasons.
  21. This is a classic case of giving a player of his caliber too much money. Would you rather have him at $25M a year or Clowney for 1 year at $10M?
  22. I would consider moving Allen. Payne is at his best playing the 3 tech.
  23. You are remembering the early 2000s line differently from me. I remember Rabach being a real weak link and trash
  24. It’s the market now. Bosa got a $34M AAV from the Niners and Gary got $27M. Sweat will get something around Gary $$$.
  25. I think we’d need to win a bidding war to get Hunter. I wonder if a 3 year $90 mil deal is enough for him. I think he is way better than either Young or Sweat and he is an elite blue chip performer at his position. I agree if you get him you can fill the other end spot with a Toohill or a rookie and a rotation in general. I really appreciate Evans and his consistency. Out of the other big WRs out in FA, I feel Pittman is a bit of an underachiever who drops the ball more often than you would like and Higgins is going to get top dollar. On Al Shaiir, I would go higher if needed and pay Holcomb type of money. Not a lot of greendot MIKEs in FA. Last offseason was deeper for that - the 2019 draft yielded a lot of great off ball LBs. I too would keep Barton around on similar money to what he is making now and then draft a couple rookies late Day 2 and Day 3 to potentially take over as a starter for Jamin if we choose not to extend him.
