  3. I wonder if drafting him means curtains for Mathis. Talk about a bust in the second round. Doesn't get much worse than that! I only remember seeing him make a play once since we drafted him.
  4. @gbear I was watching a Trump campaign event in Texas (2 to 4 months ago?) at an oil refinery (or similar) and the CEO openly said, "We are gonna do everything we can to get Trump re-elected." It was surprising to hear, but no one blinked an eye. $1B is a crazy sum though...
  5. I think Bates is the safest of the three. Rogers is still a project and it looks like Turner is a bust.
  6. if that’s the case, couldn’t Mrs Trump be compelled to testify as to the validity of some of Ms. Clifford’s statements? If nothing else, I would be compelled to think that would be worth an entire bucket of popcorn.
  7. We always get excited about these UDFAs and ~1% of the time do they make the roster, much less make an actual impact. Specific to this guy, I think I can run a 40 faster than he did and I'm 51 years old and have a bad knee.
  8. Also, they'd go up and talk about business stuff in detail to get to the hush money details. Probably contradict what someone who worked for him said, or something that is of record. Then that's where he would dig himself a fat hole.
  9. But do we know that Daniels can do this in an offense yet? Seems like in college, he just ran when pressured.
  10. We are still thin at OT and WR but otherwise, would agree
  11. How about SF? To be honest, I want to see a bunch of new talent in the scouting office and more scouts. I thought we had one of the most short-staffed scouting depts in the NFL under Snyder.
  12. I’ve said several times I don’t think they’re a good ally. My reasoning is mostly based on us having little influence with them. If they generally want the same thing they kinda do what we want, but if we’re at odds they have no problem doing whatever they want. given the money, arms, the context of their existence in the Middle East, the decades they’ve survived simply because we help them… they continue to survive because everyone believes if someone does something we’ll show up immediately and stomp them out… I think they owe at least following our needs and wants on a foreign policy level. but they don’t. There’s a good argument made that the reasons stuxnet became public is because Israel got super aggressive with it when we told them not to, and it wound up in a researchers honeypot. (Edit: for what it’s worth, I believe this is the leading theory by faaaar, among tech people that followed the story. USA denies any involvement publicly. There is a solid documentary on it for those interested) they foiled an incredibly expensive, amazing, and meaningful intelligence operation that we most like funded entirely and contributed 90% of the work - because they’re stupid aggressive and lack control or loyalty to us. Israel is like that one buddy you got that if you’re out and he gets in a fight, you take a few steps back thinking “I don’t know what happened here to start a fight but he probably deserves what’s about to happen, gonna sit this one out”
  13. if I recall the segment on WTOP correctly: it comes down to what the source/order of the funds/munitions is what wasn’t clear to me is whether the issue was that he can’t touch it because the order came in a way that requires congress, or whether he’s simply chipping away at it and does have the ability to stop more. sorry but I find that stuff hard to keep track of and I didn’t even catch the whole segment but that was the gist of it
  14. Signing a union card doesn't have anything to do with it. Marvin Harrision not signing yet has more to do with HIS contract negotiations as he thinks he's worth more. It absolutely is an issue if they've broken any laws. If not they both publicly said it, so they both will have to publicly cancel it, then it's fodder.
  15. I bet the prosecution hopes that Trump testifies. He can't tell the truth, then perjury charges. Everyone knows he lies, it's in the public every day.
  16. I was in a union for 30 years. The fact that they join doesn't instantly make them subject to policies and procedures. Employers must train new employees on their policies and procedures and get a signature of acknowledgement of receiving the training before they can be held to account. If they didn't break the law, the NFL cant discipline either one yet. Expect both of them to say publicly that there is no more bet.
  17. I may have misheard Sikkema on Take Command but I believe he said he’s talked to folks in DC and they don’t see him stepping in Day 1 to be a starter Off topic but Sikkena’s other great observation was that Newton played 700 snaps vs Murphy who played ~400. Addresses the remark in the other thread for why his “effort” was up and down
