ESPN Football Power Index- Redskins ranked 22nd-Lower than expected Media Predictions

If Dallas stumbles with a second year QB, Redskins might get in playoffs. I think Giants are still better. Being ranked 22nd or 13th means pretty much the same thing = missed playoffs.

ESPN currently has us moving up to #14 after we beat Oakland (who they currently have ranked at #7 ???)  We're moving up and hopefully will make them eat their words. CBS has us ranked #6, while NFL.com has us at #7 link below.

Why is "Redskins" missing from every single entry for our Skins.  It only says Washington.......every team literally has their full name except for us.  Wow, This political correctness BS is.....OMG.

NFL Network released their power ranking and we have moved up 11 spots to 7. Raiders are one below us. Cowgirls at 12.

Yeah. MJD on NFL Network was not too happy about that. He also said it was too low as well.

 

If you look at team stats through the first 3 week. the Packers are 29th in running the ball and the Skins are 6th. GB only has us beat on the passing. We have them beat on total PTS and total yards. Not a huge difference but everything helps and we are a little better them right now.

Hope the team only posts the ESPN rankings on the bulletin board, with the gap between them and the Raiders highlighted and pay no attention to the NFLN list. I think we play our best as the underdogs, when we are disrespected and counted out. 

 

Just don't know how long we can stay underdogs if the Raiders game was more of a sign of things to come and not a fluke. 

 

If we beat KC in Arrowhead, we will be putting the league on notice in a big way.

But "Indians" called themselves redskins, meanwhile the name Indian is perfectly acceptable despite it being the equivalent of calling Africans Icelanders or Australians.

That's kind of hard to believe.  ESPN is the best sports channel in the world.  There are thousands of teams that play sports on this globe.  Why do you feel they would single us out amongst thousands of athletic teams to have a bias against?  That doesn't make sense, with all due respect to your opinion.  What would they gain to have bias against just us?

So the Chiefs are ranked #1 in the NFL poll. So if the Redskins beat them Monday night, will they be #1 going into the bye week?

Well think about this.  If we do beat the chiefs we would have taken  down 1 of the 2 undefeated teams in the league in their own house...the same team that beat the darling of the NFL NE in their house.  So my question to you is with a 3-1 record and taking down two top 5 teams in back to back weeks, why shouldn't we be number one?

If the Falcons win it would have to be them.  They are the Super Bowl runner up (gifted NE btw) and would deserve that distinction methinks.
