What is this Dook you speak of? They a ranked team? They the one with the coach who won't shake hands after ANOTHER loss?

At 15-2, with 6 games out of 14 remaining against ranked teams (Baylor x2, Iowa State x2, Kansas, Oklahoma)..I'm wondering if 25 wins is unrealistic for WVU.

25-6 has to be a #3 seed or better.

I was actually looking for a thread like this a few weeks ago during the Oklahoma v Kansas game. That was the best game I've seen all year. Even Dookie Vitale gave up his Duke card and said Kansas had the greatest crowd and best atmosphere in college basketball.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. I expect a lot of continually moving teams throughout the rankings. I haven't seen 1 dominant team like last year. That should make the next 3 months pretty awesome.

The KU fanbase is awesome in a delusionally spoiled kind of way.  I love reading their SB nation site after losses.  Here is part of the story after my Mountaineers pretty much kicked their asses (blaming the refs for an 11 point lose that was never in question in the second half):

Look, you're never going to hear me blame officiating for a loss.  It's pretty rare that the officials actually win or lose a game for someone.

That said:

The most foul-prone team in the country started the game, the first 5:28 minutes, without being whistled.

West Virginia made more free throws (33) than Kansas attempted (21).

Kansas was called for significantly more fouls (32) as West Virginia (20).

How does that even happen, considering WVU's preferred style of play?

That was ugly.  Let's not do that ever again.

MSU fan here.  Not sure what's going on with the 2 losses recently, but I'm not too concerned.  They should do well enough to get a decent tournament seed, and really I don't care to much about college basketball until tournament time anyway.

I take msu to elite 8 at least. ..every year.

Beilein was incredible but I can't help but still feel that WVU lucked out and upgraded at coach (and system) when he left for Meatchicken. Too bad the same can't be said about when Rich Rod left.

And yes..Izzo's team could be 17-13 and barely make the tourney each and every year and most smart people would have them locks for the Elite 8. That dude can flat out coach.

edit..not belittling Beilein ball. But it seems to rely to much on 3pt shooting and backdoor cuts. Defense isn't a strong suit either.

hard to win shooting 8 of 23 from the free throw line.  and that's no typo.

all of our scorers took the night off.  couldn't throw it in the ocean.  only player that truly showed up was holton.  williams was decent and ended with a double double.  carter was god awful, miles was worse, and even paige struggled mightily from the floor.  all that and still only lost by 7.

they were super fun to watch, but there was not a more dunked-on team in the history of the sport.  trying to remember the big man from georgetown....for every 3 pittsnogle hit, he would throw down 2 monster facials over him.

nah, this was mid 2000's.  i wanna say hibberd, but i think it was a different one.  green?

Hibbert.  Also Okafor from UConn dunked every possession.  We'll always have Mike Gansey.

Also, the game last night was predictable.  The nice thing about this team is they bring the intensity every night.  The bad thing is their shooting is always suspect, but when they have a bad night, they miss EVERYTHING.
