REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

The Redskins signed the following practice squad player to their active roster:

TE Je’Ron Hamm

The Redskins waived the following player:

TE Anthony McCoy

The Redskins signed the following players to their practice squad:

LB Derrick Mathews

LB Lynden Trail

The Redskins released the following player from their practice squad:

CB Deveron Carr

I'm looking forward to seeing what Hamm can do. I'll be surprised if he offers much as a blocker, but I'm betting he's a better receiver than Carrier... even if he's just replacing McCoy.

I think as long as Hamm knows his assignments he'll be a better blocker than McCoy. I honestly have no idea where McCoy was going half the time. And when he did get a hat on his guy he usually got destroyed, lol.

It might not be an exaggeration to say that if Hamm just stands in front of his guy most of the time he'll be a better blocker.

I never understood how McCoy stayed on the roster. Granted, you need a better option, and I think that GMSM would rather have drug his **** through shredded glass than sign Cooley, more to make a point about moving on than anything else.

It really hurt to lose Niles and Paulsen before the season. I wonder what the TE group is going to look like next year.
