This is probably the most realistic ... trade-down values are killing me here. I actually didn't get offered a trade down option for my picks until the 4th round, which may or may not be more realistic...

I'm not going to even try this, I suck at college players. I really don't have any idea about anyone unless they're mentioned in reference to the Skins close to the draft every year.

But, if these drafts are any indication at all, I'm actually excited to see the kind of guys we should be able to bring in. It seems to be a pretty deep depth at numerous positions and I'm hoping we trade down and add some picks. The more players the better.

I'd be really happy with that but how about squeezing some offensive weapons in there outside of one RB?

I would have loved to have been able to sneak in a TE and a WR, but what ended up going through my mind was that we had a top offense last year. Aside from Landry Jones, who I took to back up Cousins just in case RG3 isn't ready or is injured again, I think it's good to go. If Davis doesnt come back, we do need a TE.

Defense however, as we all know, was so abysmal, I hope they just load up. Hell, I'd be happy with a CB and S at every single pick. lol.

Okay, well I hate to rain on everyone's parade ... but I went back to 2012 to look at the in-draft trades and you will be sorely disappointed (but probably not surprised) that you cannot, in fact, turn pick #51 into pick #61, #74 (3rd) and #125 (4th) like the model thinks you can. Nor can you turn pick #51 into what amounts to four 3rds, four 4ths and four 5ths ...

2012 Trades:

Packers traded pick #51 to the Eagles for pick #58 and #123 ... so a 4th to move back 7 spots. Not bad.

Buccaneers traded pick #59 and #233 (7th) to Texans for #68 (3rd) and #126 (4th) ...

So, in theory, we could ...

Trade #51 to Denver for #58 and #125

Trade # 58 and # #191 to Cleveland for #68 and #104

So ...

3rd (68)

3rd (85)

4th (104)

4th (119)

4th (125)

5th (154)

5th (162)

7th (233)

So ... that's about as good as you're going to do for trading back and accumulating picks ... at least based on last year ...

Yeah, when I messed with it I didn't bother taking all those unrealistic trades. It's bad enough the draft order it has on some players. I mean it's fun to play with but I really doubt the draft would look anything like what has been posted in the thread...it's nice to dream though.

Is it just me, or does the system seem to hate WRs?

Like, in the 2nd round, Terrance Williams, Marcus Wheaton, Quinton Patton, etc., are all Bs or worse. Swope in the late 3rd should be good value, and yet that got me a C+ I think, and Bailey in the 4th is a really good pick at that point, and yet he similarly gets like a B-.

And I almost never see WRs among the best player available. Heck, getting into the 5th and 6th rounds I start seeing punters but I almost never see WRs.

Round 6 Pick 23: Kerwynn Williams, RB, Utah State (B+)

Round 7 Pick 22

It froze me out before I could get pick 7, which annoys me because I was having one hell of a draft. I tried to limit my trading to such a point that I didn't have more than 3 picks in a round and no more than 12 picks total.

That draft would never happen, but I would be estatic for it. Two top flight CB's, future starting FS and SS, a system ready backup QB, and a quality offensive weapon BIG TE....on top of backups at C, OT, and RB? I could only dream of such a draft.
