I wouldn't say we get them all the time in TN, but I've seen several storms move that quickly in my time here. I have a large field behind my house and you can watch them roll in. Sometimes they're on top of you in a matter of minutes- what was just a dark sky off in the distance a few moments ago

Maybe it has something to do with the mountains, I don't know.

However, you want to see a ****ing biblical thunderstorm, move to kansas or oklahoma. Those will make you say a prayer.

Darndest thing I've ever seen out of a storm was in Tennessee,(There for a few years in the early 70's). First some smaller lower clouds started to spin then got sucked up in to the bigger, nastier looking clouds. A little later, the clouds were doing that "boiling" thing. All this with that greenish color. Agreed with those storms in Kansas in Oklahoma. They turn day in to night but not before looking like something out of a horror movie on the way to ya. Storms here are a bit sketchy because when out in the mountains, you can't see them coming. Can hear them, but the thunder just rolls around and you can't tell where it's coming from. That's usually the time when your average hiker makes like the Road Runner down the trail. :)

Am I missing something? Have you guys never seen a T Storm roll in?

(not trying to be an ass. I'm serious, I feel like there is something I'm missing)

Did you see the image of the face emerge at :50? Either the devil himself or the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Above the blue pole. That's all I was pointing out...

Have seen many, but none that fast. Looked like ash rolling down from a Volcano.

In Basic at Ft Knox, we were at the range on a clear day. Then some dark clouds rolled in and then darker they started to as PCS said boil, the colors were like I had never seen green, purple black. The clouds started swirling and we could see the sky in the middle where the top of a funnel was forming, then it just broke up and left. It was pretty crazy.
