tshile
So is this like other prophesies where once Tuesday comes and goes, another day is picked? if so, what’s more likely to happen first, JFK JR reveals himself or trump is arrested?

I mean the one prophesying today is Trump so I'd pretty much write that off. Seems like he does get arrested but who actually knows when. 46 minutes ago, Llevron said: Dude must really believe Donald Trump is going to pay him lol At this point exposure is the only thing Trump is willing to pay his lawyers. The source for it being Tuesday was the Donald himself. And you know everything that comes out of his mouth is BS. Ok. I get this is what everyone’s saying. And people are just saying this has been accepted as and turned into fact. but the reality is the grand jury is supposedly done with witnesses. Supposedly they have no remaining tasks but to vote. Apparently they don’t meet again until Wednesday. Presumably, if they have nothing left to do but vote, and there are no more witnesses, then on Wednesday they will vote. If they vote to indict then the indictment will be unsealed and trump will turn himself in, according to his lawyer. so unless all of that reporting is wrong about where the grand jury is, then this isn’t just a “thing trump said that has no basis in reality that people fell for.” It’s a legitimate expectation based on the process and where we understand the process to be. no they’re not going to storm marolargo. Even if he refuses to turn himself in, I’d expect the relevant agencies to work something out with him and his lawyer to avoid a storming of anything. In fact if I were to guess whatever is worked out, will ensure there no handcuffs used at any point. and all of this falls perfect inline with Trumps tried and true strategy of getting ahead of bad news by breaking it himself and setting the narrative. It’s incredibly effective. trump was likely briefed on the situation and used his usual tactic of breaking bad news early. He’s done it throughout his political career. He simply got the date wrong (which could be totally intentional, I’m sure his lawyer knew when they were meeting and told him the correct day) and used theatrics about it (creating this idea of law enforcement storming his residence instead of him turning himself in without incident like most big time people that are indicted by a grand jury…) this makes way more sense than the notion he randomly made all this **** up. If people agree to turn themselves in, that’s what they do. As far as I’m aware. Not like I have experience or follow this part of life very well. to boot he’s a former president and currently a nominee for president. Doesn’t matter what he did or what we think of him, if you can’t understand nor expect different treatment in this situation then you’re not living in reality. on the list of accusations/investigations this is, best I can tell, the least important/severe. in fact if this was his only scandal it’d be on par with Clinton lying under oath about his affair. it’s honestly kinda of laughable that this is the one drumming all this up. Not any of the significantly more severe investigations which seem equally as likely to be true.
tshile
Add: I was thinking of Clinton with respect to the idea that ultimately he didn’t get in any real trouble like prison time. john Edward’s would be a more direct comparison, I suppose. And he was found not guilty on 1 charge and mistrial on remaining charges. i feel like it’s a big ask to put someone in prison for trying to hide an affair, unless part of it involves something violent… when it’s just money changing hands, and the idea the money wasn’t reported because it technically should have been a campaign contribution (which, that crime means your crime is not publicizing your affair)… seems minor.
The Evil Genius
This is the first in a half dozen pending/potential criminal cases though against Trump though. And it was a big deal because Trump was seemingly elected in 2016 by not disclosing his hush payment that ultimately used campaign funds. All bets are off if that payment was admitted to and/or if he was up front about it. Would people have stayed home and not voted for him? Possibly. Either way, we can't know because Trump committed a crime and kept that from official public record. Even if Trump gets off like Edwards did (not guilty and/or mistrial), it should end his career politically. But then again, we are talking about a cult who has embraced communist Russia, white nationalism, and Christian fanaticism.. so who knows. It does in the court of public opinion but that’s one of many reasons of why the court of public opinion is bull****. The fact there’s other investigations going on is irrelevant. All bets are off if that payment was admitted to and/or if he was up front about it I’m not trying to be difficult, and ultimately it doesn’t matter if we disagree on this, but after everything we’ve seen I do not believe him publicly disclosing it would have changed the result; or, to try to be more accurate, I don’t believe anyone can make a real argument to suggest the outcome would have been different. “paid a famous porn star to not out him for an affair” doesn’t seem like something that moves the needle much for a group that cheered for mocking a MS person, “grab them by the ****”, and allegedly orchestrated and a tempted coup of the government. if I had to bet I’d put my money on them seeing that as a badge of honor and more reason to think he’s “awesome” 4 minutes ago, Captain Wiggles said: Say Tonic people walk amongst us. 🤣 Make sure you have food that… you can just open up and eat def don’t get that food you can’t open or can’t eat

You are correct in that Trump is trying to get ahead of the news. What's made up is Trump's prediction of the date, not that it's going to happen. If he'd been briefed properly and/or been paying attention, he would've known the Grand Jury doesn't meet today, but does on Wednesday, and could've made a more accurate guess.

But I also added that he could have intentionally said the wrong day (or even the wrong week - it’s entirely possible this won’t happen tomorrow either…) because that’s just part of the game he’s playing. the idea here is it doesn’t matter if he gets the specifics right. It’s that he breaks the news and sets the narrative. and it’s stupid that it works but we have countless examples of this working the dumbest one is the 2016 election rigging. He went on about it for a bit leading up to the election. He claimed the election was rigged, and won. It doesn’t matter if his right. It just matters he sets the ton on the topic first. That’s how this game works. In addition to setting the narrative it actually goes to support the idea he’s smart, or whatever, cause look - there’s trump again way ahead of the news, always knows what’s up, etc. I still contend the draft of overturning roe being leaked served the GOP’s purpose more than anyone else, and it makes sense the GOP would have leaked it. Another example of getting ahead of the story. Edited March 21, 2023 by tshile

Yes. it’s entirely possible that the reporters are wrong and there are no witnesses, there is no more work, the next step is not to vote on indictment, and they’re not doing that on Wednesday. Or that they don’t even meet on Wednesday. which wouldn’t be trump being full of ****, it would be those reporters being full of **** or duped by whatever sources provide that information. But yeah it’s entirely possible. I personally have zero experience with any of this and don’t even pretend to know anything about it on the internet so I would have zero to stand on in proclaiming the reporters right or wrong in what they say. i can only work with what they’re saying. Not the likelihood they’re correct. All I can do is see how to square what trump is saying with what the reporters are saying with what is plausible. I think what I outlined makes total sense. means **** all about whether that’s what’s actually happening or not.
