They kept the government from shutting down. (For 45 days). And then, after avoiding a national crisis, by acting bipartisanly, and at knowing risk to McCarthy and the rest of them - the Dems unanimously opposed keeping McCarthy. Now, granted. What they did was, just once, they put the country ahead of their careers*. Not claiming they should be getting medals. I'm saying maybe some Dem support could have been offered. (Especially since Dem support might have weakened the MAGAs some more.) *Well, maybe not. Some, if not all of them, were probably smart enough to know that shutting down the government when you can't even pass a wish list for your own Party probably isn't good politics.
