Not sure where to put this but our W/L total for Vegas just moved up to 8.5 (from 7.5). Eagles also moved up a full point to 9.5.

I guess Vegas liked what they've seen/heard after the first preseason game.

It moved up to 8.5 on some books months ago.  That said, at 8.5, at least at BetMGM, its like +140 meaning if you bet $100 and win, you win $140 (and get back the $100) you bet.  Its all over the place on different books, but in general if you can still find it at 7.5 you are going to be betting at like -150 (meaning if you bet $100 and win, you'd only win $66.67.  At 8 its pretty even--like -110 which is the standard and at 8.5 you are getting like +140 (or at least that is what I was seeing a couple weeks ago when I looked at a couple sportsbooks).  So effectively since 8 is the closest to even, I kind of see that as our real over/under.

I prefer it that way over the media and fans doing it.

It definitely gives it a more interesting angle (because you can find fan and media rankings all over the internet at will), but it’ll certainly be less “accurate” that way. Most NFL players don’t have the type of holistic view of their own league that you need to do this sort of list any justice. Maybe in the offseason they study up in their off time, but during the season they can’t watch every team and they’re laser-focused on watching film of their upcoming opponents, specifically the ones their position group is tasked with competing against. There’s really no reason, while pulling 50-60 hour weeks during the season, that a given NFL DB is going to be up on who the best AFC OG’s are at the moment. So unless you think they’re obsessively studying the entire league in the offseason to check out guys who don’t effect their careers, they probably aren’t as abreast on the current NFL talent landscape as your average informed fan or super-informed media member. They’re operating off of their first-hand knowledge, second-hand word of mouth around the league, and third-hand ESPN highlights, a lot of the time.

It’s their job but they aren’t necessarily paying super close attention to the parts of the league that don’t effect them. Hell, when Tannehill was coming out of college he had no idea who was even in the Dolphins division, or any of the other divisions.

For those who want to see Apke gone, maybe Gibson is the dude to make that happen?

Still see Apke making the team.  He’s an elite special teams player that can play DB in a pinch.  He’s got game breaking speed

You are probably right, I was just making a lame joke there, suggesting Gibson is headed to becoming a key special teamer.   I used Apke to do it.

Love to have been a fly on the wall for that

I don't get it, was he yelling at them for taking a knee?

I'm confused.

Edit, nevermind, the normally players don't take knees comment was the reporter not Rivera.

I feel stupid.

Lol.

Scott Turner is a really good guy and I'm rooting for him.

Meanwhile, RR seems really salty.  Hard to read him, like was it practice and he's pissed or tired of our media.  LOL

Based on one of the tweets I posted it seems like he was pissed that some players were endangering the health of other players by hitting too hard.

Serious concerns with our team and injuries. Surely miss Bubba Tyer.  I hope Wes's injury isn't serious.

Can't understand the fumble issues with AG.  He had 2 the first year and 6 last year.
