Rutshcmann is actually better year at the plate, though I think Mountcastle just catapulted over him in the RBI category Edit: Well 18 RBI now in 12 games, thats insane. I wonder if he does somehow manage to break Hack Wilson's record, woudl he be considered even if his average / OPS aren't typical for an MVP ... And when he golfs a pitch that’s 10” off the ground into the bullpen it reinforces some bad habits because he’s not gonna get that pitch most of the time, even when he’s hot. Ah well. At least in 2023 with having a more balanced schedule, with 13 games against each team in the division instead of 18. With the expansions of the wild card round, they really needed to make things a little more equitable. A 89 win AL East team is probably a 93 win AL Central or West team.
