AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
Brees is done. You could tell how he walked into the tunnel, soaking it in for the last time. All time great. Enjoyed watching him play.

He could have said “Maybe save it for after the game?” Again I concede that this is a take based on opinion as opposed to fact so I’ll decline to press it further. Warhead36
Its just a shame he couldn't get these defenses until the end of his career. If he had them from like 11-17 he might have another ring or two. They really wasted a lot of his prime. As did the Pack with Rodgers.

Honestly I think there were three times Saints had a legit shot to win the Super Bowl. 2009 obviously. And I'm not just saying this hindsight - they were rolling everyone. 2011 - Had we not lost to the 9ers, I'm absolute convinced we beat the Giants next week, and advance to the Superbowl. Given that was basically the same team we rolled in 2009, I like our chances. But Gregg Williams and his overaggressive playcalling cost us, not to mention some bad turnovers, allowed Alex Smith to have a career day. 2018 - Should have beat the Rams in the NFCCG. We came swinging and were ahead for the entire game until they tied it up late in the 4th. I really hate pinning that on the no-call. Michael Thomas was wide open the play before but Brees couldn't connect. A first down and a FG kick wins the game there. Then the INT in overtime. Again we would be facing the Pats in the Superbowl. I think we could have won a close one. Certainly should have scored more than thre three points the Rams did. The other years they had early playoff exits, I didn't really feel they were legit contenders. 2010 we had SB hangover and by the time of Seattle game all our RBs were out. 2013 no one was beating Seattle. We actually got within a TD and had recovered the onsides, but not enough time. 2017 I feel Eagles were the team of destiny. Last year no one was beating the Chiefs. visionary
I think the play that decided the game was probably the fumble. If not for that the Saints were on the way to putting some distance between themselves and the Bucs and things went downhill from there.

They came out and completely crushed us. I remember being so angry....lol Actually, wasn't that the game that we were leading by 15 points, with about 4 minutes remaining in the game, and they came back and won it, with 2 TD's, a 2-pointer to tie it, and then won in OT ? That one hurt.

Riggo-toni
Brees just doesn't have the arm strength anymore. Peyton Manning may be more remembered, but I think Brees was better.

I'm with you, do it after the game. Are they going to do that for every record broken in the NFL from now on? Besides, I think it shows bias to the other team. I think its ridiculous to literally pause in the middle of a game, throw someone a parade and then go back to the game like its going to be called fairly. I don't feel bad for Brees at all, he can cry in the pile of money that he has that none of us will ever come close to in a million lifetimes. Malapropismic Depository
It's not fair. All these Football Teams plageurized our team name. We need something distinct for our name, since we earned it ; The Original Football Team. Buffalo vs Kansas City sounds like a messy, spicy, saucy Food Fight, between KC Barbeque and Buffalo Wings
