China Posted March 19, 2021 Share Posted March 19, 2021 The NCAA tournament has suddenly lost interest to me. I think they should reform the timeout and foul system at the end of games. The end of the games is tedious with endless stoppages in play. Teams when fouled in the last two minutes of a half should have the option of taking the ball out with a new shot clock, rather than shooting free throws. This would dramatically reduce fouling and the stoppages in play. I realize this will never happen, because is will eliminate the possibility of an exciting comeback, but it would make the ends of games a lot less tedious. Terrible play call at the end of regulation. Attack the basket, challenge them not to foul, and then let your height advantage clean up a missed shot.
