Springfield
I mean. It was hard to make out but it didn’t seem all that bad.  Seems like he likes to bang women and talk about it with his boys, do cocaine and make fun of his loser teammates.

Hope you enjoyed your conquests, Brendan. You'll have to lower your standards now that you're not going to be an NHL hockey player anymore.
Forehead
I read through the Twitter thing and noticed that at least one comment was on a picture of Tom Wilson and his wife, though the comment didn't seem that bad. Still, if the guy hooks on with another team down the line, he should probably keep his head on a swivel. His best hope at this point is to play in a Euro league, work his ass off over there, and hope that in 3 - 4 years another NHL team takes notice of him, assumes he's grown up, and invites him to camp for a tryout.

Hersh
It will be weird to come back and suddenly try to have playoff level intensity in empty arenas after 3 or 4 months off. 2
skinsmarydu
Yeah, they were talking about it on the radio yesterday. Canada still has a 14-day quarantine for essential travel, not to mention all the European countries' restrictions that vary from border to border. I don't see it happening. 😩
Springfield
I don't see it happening either. I'll be happy if it does of course, but it just seems logistically impossible.
Warhead36
Only solution would be to do what the NBA is considering and that's having all the teams in one area, Vegas or Orlando.
TradeTheBeal!
I’m still holding a $500 Caps Stanley Cup ticket at 12 to 1 from the Atlantis sportsbook.  So, I’d very much appreciate a go at the playoffs.
skinsmarydu
The 60-something page outline for MLB...players have to arrive dressed to play & leave in their uniforms...NO SHOWERS. I would assume other leagues would have to have similar rules. This country would start to stink in a hurry. As Springy said, it's just not logistically possible. Every "john", sink, bench that ANYONE touches would have to be immediately sanitized...you're talking about an entire staff just to do THAT. The only 3 sports that I think can give it a go are singles tennis, golf, and racing horses/cars. (And I'm willing to stipulate that tennis is the only real sport of the 3.) 😉

They gonna run games 16 hours a day on the same surface? I think you have to have 4 rinks plus those city’s practice rinks.  I don’t see how the ice could withstand that many games in one rink.

I don't know of any area with that many rinks in close proximity that would be suitable for high level NHL play.
hail2skins
Vegas has the T Mobile arena, MGM Grand Garden, Mandalay Bay Events Center, Thomas and Mack Center, and a locals casino where the old AHL team used to play. All not terribly far from each other. Not sure how many of those could be repurposed for NHL.

If they are gonna do that, maybe not pick a place where it's 115 degrees out? 10 hours ago, Warhead36 said: Yeah you're right I forgot to take that into consideration. Could probably reconstruct them pretty quickly for the right dimensions. Every college team rink within an hour or two.
Springfield
Maybe just do outdoor games for the rest of the year at night. So it’s not sunny and the ice will keep for a game and there is less a possibility of spreading the disease.
Hersh
I saw Tampa and Carolina voted against the playoff format. Tampa actually makes a good point. Teams that don't get a bye won't be playing the same high level intense games. Some round robin format for the top teams to determine seeds is totally meaningless in empty stadiums where home ice isn't a thing.
Springfield
I didn’t really follow the argument, I guess I haven’t paid much attention to the format or I’m dumb. Or both.
