The Lockpicking Lawyer.

First, he’s amazing at what he does, Ive never seen him fail to pick a lock. Basically, if it takes him more than 3 minutes, that lock should be considered bulletproof. Often, legit locks take him a few seconds, like here:

Second, he is passive aggressive as all hell. He often uses common items or just straight up trash he has lying around to pick locks, like “I picked this MasterLock with a paperclip” or, well, this:

Third, the comments are amazing.

I've watched a bunch of his videos.  They are entertaining.  I enjoyed the one about how you can quickly remove a boot from your car.

Most videos people regretted watching on YouTube came from its recommendation algorithm

A majority of YouTube videos that internet users regretted watching were recommended to them by the platform, a new report from the Mozilla Foundation has found.

Mozilla, the internet company behind the Firefox browser, released findings today from its “RegretsReporter” browser extension that it launched last year. The extension allowed users to report videos they regretted watching, and allowed for Mozilla to crowdsource information about YouTube’s recommendation algorithms.

YouTube’s recommendations have long been criticized for sending users down extremism rabbit holes.

Since it launched last year, Mozilla said 37,380 people installed RegretsReporter. In its report released today, Mozilla said it gathered information from 3,362 reports from 1,662 volunteers who were in 91 countries.

The reports were submitted between July 2020 and May 2021.

Specifically, Mozilla said 71 percent of the Regret reports came from videos that were recommended to users. Meanwhile, recommended videos were 40 percent more likely to be regretted than videos that a user searched for. Additionally, Mozilla said there were “several cases” where YouTube’s recommended videos actually violated the company’s own community guidelines.

Paging @Riggo-toni

Interesting...he does a lot of things differently than I used to do. One thing I didn't see was how he made the pathway for the wires to go through. Usually I drilled through the neck and body before gluing everything together. Limba was my favorite tonewood, so kudos there, but it's very soft, and I am betting the first time someone knocks this guitar over, at least two of those knobs are gonna break through the too thin top to the control cavity.  I once built a beautiful bass with a spalted maple top, and the customer wanted the controls mounted from the back, and I said - No way, it's a ticking time bomb for that to break! Have to use a conventional jazz bass control plate mounted on top.

During and since I got my pro bono client out of prison, Ive been somewhat fascinated with prison life. Real prison life, not just the horror stories about the worst people in the worst places, but the reality of prison for the vast majority. I found the following 2 channels who take very different approaches.

Federal Prison Insider is a guy the did several years for flying drugs in his airplane. He talks about how to get along in and minimize your time in minimum security federal prison.

After Prison Show is a much dumber but much more entertaining guy that talks about state prison in Virginia.

I’ve become addicted to these Manga Japanese stories.

Toxic Families, gold huggers, cheating spouse, unique ways for couples to fall for each other, etc…

Here’s an example of one:

BTW, if it's in a book or magazine it's manga, if it's animated it's anime.  So that's anime.
