Right now he's not ready. Good thing is we have some members of our bullpen that are also hopeless so no issues with Rosenthal taking one of their spots for now. He'll get in a few games here or there and if he still can't work out his mechanics then maybe another trip to the IL with rehab appearances will be possible. StillUnknown
Corbin killing his all-star chances in one start maybe that 116 pitch count last game had something to do with this start Edited June 1, 2019 by StillUnknown

There was an article a while back on fangraphs that showed the start following a complete game is usually faily poor. Unless, of course, you're a FORMER Nats pitcher. Then you go 8 IP 3ER 10 Ks... bcl05
Amazing that Scherzer is batting here. Such a vote of no-confidence in the pen. Reasonable, but pathetic.

Davey pushed all the right buttons yesterday, hopefully this one doesn't bite us. with the insurance runs, and Max being at 104 pitches, i would have pinch hit for him Edited June 2, 2019 by StillUnknown
StillUnknown
Max would have murdered Davey on the mound before leaving the game apparently MadMax has no love for anyone not named Doolittle in that pen

Warhead36
If the pen weren't such trash early on(and really still kinda is)we'd have a shot. The NL East isn't great.
Bacon
I want to get excited, but we've got SO much work to do. If we could somehow get to .500 by the all star break, I would be back on board.
