So I assume by saying this they're referring the the corrupt GOP politicians supporting Trump and MAGA scum that rioted at the Capitol?  Because that kind of anti-democratic behavior is definitely third world.

Trump and lawyer sanctioned almost $1 million for ‘frivolous’ lawsuit against Hillary Clinton

A federal judge on Thursday imposed nearly $1 million in sanctions on former President Donald Trump and his lawyer for filing a since-dismissed “frivolous” lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and many others, which had claimed they tried to rig the 2016 presidential election in her favor by smearing Trump.

“We are confronted with a lawsuit that should never have been filed, which was completely frivolous, both factually and legally, and which was brought in bad faith for an improper purpose,” wrote Judge John Middlebrooks in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in his order sanctioning Trump and his attorney Alina Habba.

Trump’s suit, which sought $70 million in damages, accused Clinton and 30 other defendants of conspiring to “weave a false narrative” during the 2016 election that Trump and his campaign were colluding with Russia in their efforts to win the race.

Middlebrooks in his order Thursday noted that “Mr. Trump is a prolific and sophisticated litigant who is repeatedly using the courts to seek revenge on political adversaries.”

“He is the mastermind of strategic abuse of the judicial process, and he cannot be seen as a litigant blindly following the advice of a lawyer,” Middlebrooks wrote.

“He knew full well the impact of his actions ... As such, I find that sanctions should be imposed upon Mr. Trump and his lead counsel, Ms. Habba.”

Under the order, the Republican Trump and Habba, are jointly and severally liable for the total amount of sanctions the judge imposed to cover the defendants’ legal fees and costs : $937,989.39. That amount is about $120,000 less than what the defendants jointly requested for sanctions.

Clinton was awarded $171,631 in sanctions to be paid by Trump and Habba, with most of that money earmarked for Clinton’s attorneys’ fee.

That was the second largest amount awarded in Middlebrooks’ order, which gave the Democratic National Committee, its former chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, and a related corporation $179,685.

“The amount of fees awarded in this case, while reasonable, is substantial,” Middlebrooks noted.

The judge in November had sanctioned Habba and other Trump lawyers $50,000 in favor of another defendant in the lawsuit, Charles Dolan.

He called the legal pleadings filed in the case by Habba “abusive litigation tactics,” and said the original lawsuit and a later, 186-page amended complaint “were drafted to advance political narrative; not to address legal harm caused by any Defendant.”

“The Amended Complaint is a hodgepodge of disconnected, often immaterial events, followed by an implausible conclusion,” Middlebrooks wrote.

“This is a deliberate attempt to harass; to tell a story without regard to facts.”

Police: Indy man drove to Morristown to throw nails into driveways of homes with Trump flags

The Morristown Police Department claim that an Indianapolis man has been driving out to Morristown since August to throw nails, screws, and other metal fasteners into the driveways of strangers who flew Pro-Trump and Anti-Biden flags and signs.

Residents first started reporting finding the metal fasteners in their driveway at the beginning of August with police stating homes all throughout Morristown filed similar complaints. The nails and screws caused tire damage to vehicles and yard equipment, police said, along with forcing homeowners to spend several hours a day cleaning and checking their driveways.

The suspect vehicle was captured on surveillance video in mid-October and was reportedly seen actively dropping the metal fasteners from his vehicle while he passed the driveways with his window down.

The Morristown Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department reported using “covert video surveillance equipment” along with the Flock Safety license plate readers to determine the owner of the suspect vehicle.

A witness also reported following the suspect vehicle and witnessing the driver throw items into the Morristown driveways.

Police ended up issuing a warrant for the Indianapolis man, who investigators learned worked in Morristown. The suspect ended up turning himself in to law enforcement where he was booked into the Shelby County Jail in late November before he posted bond.

Trump sold his DC hotel. GOP spending disappeared.

In June the Waldorf Astoria opened for business in downtown D.C.’s Old Post Office Building, replacing the Trump International Hotel, which for five years served as an assembly point for Republican officials, lobbyists and anyone who wanted to buy Donald Trump’s attention. Despite the fact that the Waldorf is in the same building and kept public and private spaces remarkably the same, political spending at the new hotel all but disappeared when compared to the years when it was owned by a sitting president.

From its opening in June to the midterm elections, Republican officials, candidates and fundraising committees have spent less than $2,000 at the Waldorf Astoria, according to FEC data. In the same five-month window during the 2018 midterms, Republicans spent more than 400 times that amount with $867K in disbursements to the Trump Hotel. After the property opened in 2016 Republicans spent $266K in its first six months alone. This is only a portion of the spending that took place at the time, as a number of wealthy Republican donors and dark money groups also spent money at Trump’s hotel, without any requirement to disclose that spending to the public.

Trump hotel customers often claimed that the hotel’s downtown location and close proximity to the White House and Capitol explained their patronage. Representative Kevin McCarthy disregarded concerns about spending at Trump International, and said that Trump’s properties are “just like any other hotel.” Throughout Trump’s presidency, McCarthy’s committees spent over a quarter-million dollars at Trump properties and earned Trump’s support for his bid for Speaker of the House. The day after T-Mobile announced its merger with Sprint, nine T-Mobile executives stayed at Trump Hotel. CEO John Legere tweeted that the hotel was “convenient” and that the stay would not “have any influence on regulatory decisions.” Trump later approved the merger. The CEO of an energy trade group and Trump’s own campaign director also asserted that the Trump Hotel was a convenient choice for their events.

When Donald Trump became President, he made the unprecedented decision not to divest from his business interests, opening the door for those looking to curry favor with his administration to line his pockets. It worked. In four years, political committees, special interest groups and foreign governments spent millions of dollars at Trump’s eponymous clubs, golf courses and hotels. Trump’s D.C. hotel, opened just weeks before the 2016 election, proved to be especially popular, hosting nearly 50 political fundraisers, bringing thousands of guests and amassing millions.

If Trump’s D.C. hotel really was just “convenient” and like “any other hotel,” then the Waldorf Astoria should be equally as popular as its predecessor. Instead, spending from Republicans at the new hotel is negligible, suggesting what they really bought from Trump was much more than ****tails and event space.
