Don't think Manafort will need those 2 ankle bracelets anymore. Have fun being locked up while awaiting a trial.

May as well get used to things gripping his ankles.  Soon it will be his own hands gripping his ankles.

Just a quick recap on one tiny little part of the "witch hunt."

On June 9, 2016, a few floors below Donald Trump's office at Trump Tower, Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, and others meet with a person they assume is an agent of the Russian government to receive stolen information about Hilary Clinton.   [cough-Collusion-cough]

The existence of the meeting was revealed to the U.S. Government only after Jared Kushner filed one of his dozens of revised security clearance forms. [U.S. Criminal Code (Title 18, section 1001) provides that knowingly falsifying or concealing a material fact is a felony which may result in fines and/or up to five (5) years imprisonment.]

Donald Trump, Jr. tells the world the meeting was about adoptions.  He continues with that lie until the day emails published by the New York Times show the blatant lie for what it is.  Junior admits, yeah they were hunting dirt on Hilary. And that whole adoption thing...  heh-heh yeah you caught me on that one.

But daddy didn't know anything about the meeting until way way later.*  And Junior says he alone wrote the dishonest statement about adoptions.** Trump's lawyer and Sarah Huckster Sanders repeat THOSE lies to the American people over and over again. Even Donald Trump himself, on July 12, 2017 - more than a year after the meeting - tells Reuters he's only known about the meeting for "a couple of days."***

*Lie

**Lie

***Lie

Then later in July 2017 multiple outlets report that Junior got a little help from the Liar-in-Chief drafting the adoption statement. Trump, on Air Force One returning from the G-20 summit, drafted the adoption statement, overruling Junior and others who wanted to be more truthful*.

* ...For Trump and, apparently,  his supporters:

truth - ful  [trooTH-fel] - adj. - (of a person or statement) telling or expressing the truth; honest.

Synonyms: honest, sincere, trustworthy, genuine.

After that reporting, Sarah Huckster Sanders tells the press and the American people about the adoption statement: Trump "certainly didn't dictate, but ... he weighed in, offered suggestion, like any father would do." Another lie, because...

...Yesterday we learn that Donald Trump absolutely did dictate that false statement about the meeting with Russians to get stolen dirt on Hilary Clinton. [18 U.S.C. Chapter 73]

Another footnote - and lie - related to that Trump Tower meeting to get stolen dirt on Hilary Clinton...

On July 13, 2017, Corey Lewandowski was asked on Meet the Press why he wasn't at the June 9, 2016, meeting at Trump Tower. He replied that he and Trump were at a rally in Florida at the time.

But oops, there was no rally in Florida on that  day. Instead, Trump was at a Trump Victory fundraising lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel, two blocks from Trump Tower. At 1:02 PM, Trump left the lunch and returned to Trump Tower, "where he remained for the rest of the afternoon". According to emails, the Russia meeting was scheduled for 4:00 PM.

So there Trump sat, for at least 2 hours, just 3 floors up from the meeting being held by his campaign manager, his favorite son, and his favorite son-in-law to collude with the Russians.  So,

Question: Who believes he knew nothing about that meeting either before or until months after?

Answer: Nobody with half a brain.*

* Including former Trump advisor Steve Bannon, who expressed certainty that Junior, Jared, and Paul "Boris Badenov" Manafort told Trump about the meeting - and introduced the participants to Trump.  He was famously quoted saying "The chance that Don. Jr did not walk these Jumos up to his father’s office on the 26th floor is zero."

Sessions is probably telling him what he knows, as is Nunes.

Funny thing is, nobody really knows what happening with Mueller because Mueller's team isn't talking.

It must irk Trump no end that there are leaks from the WH, and nothing from Mueller. That's why he goes bonkers with his tweets hoping to distract and deflect. His base buys it, don't think anyone else does.

Wonder if he'll testify that Republicans were pushing for the investigation into Clinton's emails when there was nothing there?!

That's the only reason I can see when Republicans control the Senate now.

So Graham is pushing Rosenstein, No. 2 at DOJ,  to recuse himself from oversight of the Mueller investigation.  Meanwhile, the White House has put a hold on filling the No. 3 slot at DOJ, the person who, presumably, would take on oversight of the investigation if Rosenstein recuses.
