Players need to remind myself to look at:

Keith McGill, Marqueston Huff, LB Kirksey, SAF Taylor

SAF Luston? LSU

OT Mewhort

Ill tell you right now, Huff and Mcgill's tape is not that impressive. I really, really like Loston though. He is a big hitter and sure tackler. He is also a pretty good cover safety.

Dee Ford if Rak signs elsewhere?

He reminds me a lot of Orakpo. He can put pressure on the QB but how would he play against the rush is the BIG question. Rak should be franchised this year and traded for a 1st and whatever or a 2nd and at the very least 3rd, IMO.

Ford has a smaller frame than Rak but a much quicker burst. Anyone have insight on how good Ford is in pass coverage?

I didn't know that you could trade a franchise tagged player but this would be a great move. Tag Rak and resign Riley, Baker, and Hall.

Dee Ford is just as disruptive in the run game as he is against the pass. I think we should resign Rak and Jackson though..

At this point that is whom I want with the 34th pick, don't think he will be there though.

Im sure he will. Geno Atkins was just as impressive in the senior bowl and he fell all the way to the 4th round.

I honestly wouldn't be too confident. Looks a perfect fit for the cowgirls or bears to me. Would be terrific if he fell to us though.

Yeah, I don't know if teams make the same mistake they made on Atkins again.  Van Noy would be a solid compensatory pick if Donald is drafted before us though.  I like his game and either he or Shazier could be impact guys at ILB for us, which we definitely need.

We r not going to have any comp picks......unfortunately.

This draft is loaded in talent.....I'd be up for trading Cousins if we can get a 2nd or a 3rd and an additional pick. Then picking up a veteran to back up rg3.

Dee Ford if Rak signs elsewhere?

My problem w/ Ford is that he's strictly a speed rusher w/ a limited number of pass-rushing moves and can be a liability against the run. But hey, people said the same thing about Von Miller, and he's made a huge impact in the league.

Ford is actually pretty good against the run if you watch his tape. He is certainly strong enough to play the position too.

http://draftbreakdown.com/video/dee-ford-vs-cedric-ogbuehi-2013/ Any questions about his strength should be answered with this video

EDIT: Just watched the Georgia tape..holy ****! 1 sack 4 qb hits 4 hurries.. an absolute beast. I think early on in his career he should be used as a pass rushing specialist as it obviously takes OT some time to adjust to his insane speed.

Also did Darqueze Dennard vs Michigan and Justin Gilbert vs Miss St. but left the notes at buddies house.

Both looked good tho. Gilbert made more plays at the moment of truth. Coaches play him press and off, seem better in press.

Dennard press/trail all game. Both made nice INTs. Gilber is on all the specials units.

I personally thought that Ed Reynolds vs UCLA was one of the worst games I've seen a safety play in all of the games I've scouted. Consistently was out of position and was just god awful at tackling. Gilbert and Dennard are both really really good CB prospects though. Watch some more of Pryor too.

Haha, I meant Van Noy would be a good pick if Donald isn't there.  Guess I should be careful how I use compensatory when talking about picks.

My only question about Donald is can he play a 2 gap scheme, and if we do draft him would Haslett change the scheme to benefit him.

He definitely has the strength to play in a 2 gap scheme, but it would be a waste of his talents if he doesn't see many pass rush opportunities.  He doesn't have ideal length but he definitely has the overall strength to stand his ground and then shed the block to make a play..

Texans could be jerks and pick up Clowney for a ROLB and Donald in the 2nd to take Antonio Smith's spot down the line.  They don't have a ton of needs and if they get even moderate play out of Keenum that would be an intimidating defense for years to come.  It's scary thinking of a line that has to block Clowney, Donald AND Watt on nearly every dropback.

Lol, wait you've watched Pryor vs Kentucky but think Reynolds vs UCLA was one of the worst games you've seen a SAF play? I would love to see/read your breakdown of Reynolds-UCLA.

Reynolds tackling was atrocious. His coverage was mostly covering the deep middle and when he was asked to play man to man he seemed a step late. His pick six was one of the only positive plays.

Texans have some big holes. End isn't one of them.

This is your breakdown? Nevermind then. Lol, hyperbole and exxagerration don't make a game breakdown.

Smith is 33 next year, coming off a sprained knee and a free agent.  They were also 3rd to last in sacks.  I'd say they have a bit of a hole there.

This was a team whose talent isn't as bad as its record.  I fully expect them to rebound in a big way next year even without a new qb, though I think Keenum was good enough to warrant a 2nd go at it.  Healthy runningbacks, healthy Cushing, 2nd year for Hopkins and a revamped front 7 and they are right back to where they were 2 years ago.

I'm sold on Morgan Moses as a 3rd - 4th round pick. Maybe is the Dane Brugler hyping him up but for a possible 4th round pick, he can contribute greatly to this team.

Maybe Aaron Donald at 34th and Morgan Moses in 4th round. Or Zack Martin/Taylor Lewan at 34th and Justin Ellis in 4th or 5th round.
