Gibbs Hog Heaven
Maybe we should roll Black out right through camp in place of Trent to protect the 'Crown Jewels' of a fast depleting line. Hail.
Califan007 The Constipated
John Keim @john_keim also from last night: #RG3 Report: July 30 | http://WashingtonExaminer.com http://bit.ly/MPPPdX #redskins 2. It’ll be interesting to see how linebackers play Griffin when he runs. There have been times when he’s kept the ball after faking a handoff, prompting linebackers to attack the running back. And this is against a defense that is used to seeing this play. Griffin’s patience will cause teams to overplay the fake. Ryan Kerrigan did just that on one play, allowing Griffin to get wide.3. Griffin admitted he has to learn how to handle throwing on the run with defenders in pursuit. He ran one bootleg to the left Monday with linebacker Perry Riley charging at him. Griffin couldn’t unload the ball. He tried to backpedal, but would have been sacked so instead he threw the ball away. But he’ll also have to complete passes this way and already is gaining a better understanding of how to throw on the move. Yes, he did it in college. But he wasn’t being chased by elite athletes. “You’ve got to get your shoulders around,” Griffin said. “The problem is when you have Brian Orakpo running after you and you can’t get your shoulders around. We worked on that all through our drills….If you have a guy like [Ryan] Kerrigan and Rak running after you and you have to run sideways, just to position your body to make that throw.” 4. Still, one of his best throws Monday came off a bootleg to the left. He squared his shoulders and unloaded a deep ball to receiver Terrence Austin, who beat corner Josh Wilson with an over-the-shoulder catch. The lesson Griffin has learned lately about throwing on the move? “Throw when you’re ready,” he said. ---------- Post added July-31st-2012 at 05:53 AM ---------- Thomas Block @tomcblock Jordan Black was a 5th round draft pick from KC in 2003. SWFLSkins
The OL that started at the end of the season last year was starting to play pretty well together. With Trent back I think they would be fine, but depth is a concern. Hopefully those draft picks are good to contribute.

Sure, level of talent is a big factor, but I think we could do OK with the backups if they can all stay healthy and be together consistently. The problem last year was it seemed like a different 5 guys each week.
KDawg
Am I the only one that didn't think Lichtensteiger or Jamaal Brown were going to be healthy this year anyways? I'm not too worried about this. I kind of saw this coming.

I'm just saying... we better not trade Cooley unless we get Mike Wallace and two first rounders for him. Anything else would be uncivilized. I was thinking the same. It'll be interesting to see this line when they have a QB that they like and that they want to go all out for an protect.

EDIT: And I had him as the back up Center, at that. Not even playing LG.

I've been questioning for months whether Kory would be fully healthy for Week One coming off what he's coming off. And the only surprise to me on Brown has been how readily folk have bought into the reports of his yoga enhanced health. I'm just saying... we better not trade Cooley unless we get Mike Wallace and two first rounders for him. Anything else would be uncivilized..... 60 Minutes Mike Wallace? Dunno', might be a tricky one. You'd need the family's permission to exhume. But he'd still be a better play-by-play guy than Larry Michael. (No S.). Hail.
