Larry
OK. New season. We're undefeated. For too long a time, this has been the best time of the year for Skins fans. I think everybody will agree that this year, though, we've got a lot of question marks, all over the place. Not necessarily fears, or worries. But "I sure hope so-and-so looks as good when it counts as I think he will" is still a question. (It's possible to be optimistic, and still admit to having questions.) In fact, I don't think there's a single aspect of this team that isn't a question mark, right now. So my question (question, questions. Always with the questions.) to the base is: "Which aspect of this team, to you, represents the biggest question mark?" What are you most looking forward to seeing tested? I'll leave it up to y'all to decide what you mean by "biggest". It could be the aspect that will have the biggest impact on whether this season stinks or not. It could be the aspect that you think will make us all the most happy. ---------- Me, I'm interested in our defensive front. After watching the Ravens game, I think we have a shot here at seeing things that actually work well. (And I think that, from what I've seen about the offseason moves in the NFCE, we're gonna need a serious improvement in that department, or we're gonna get run over.) I think that #2 would be the OL. Yes, I think that this season's most important aspects will be controlling the line.
Audible_Red40
You nailed it. My question is how will we be in the trenches? Both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. We better have improved getting to the QB & stopping the run, as well as protecting our QB and running the ball. If we can do this, we will be competitive. S.T.real,lights,out
Def agree with the D-line. We have new faces there and i really hope they have a major impact b/c the d-line was terrible last year. And obvious one is QB. Can Rex manage not to turn the ball over and keep us in games. I still dont think our D is going to win us many games. Its going to have to be a full team effort IMO
E-Dog Night
I want to see if Hightower and the OL look as good as they did in the preseason running the ball, this time against a tough Giants DL, now that the games mean something. I also want to see how Josh Wilson plays.
sideshow24
Will Hightower show that he is our clear #1 back and that we can count on him for the season?
Larry
I agree that a running game could sure make this team look a lot better. And that a couple of 50-yd runs in the preseason doesn't exactly remove the question mark.
worstSeat
The most important question marks are the D-line, cornerback, and QB, but the biggest question mark is if the Shanny running magic so easily translates. Can they really put together a 1200-1500 yd RB with an o-line that hasn't played together for a full season? Just for fun... Geneva
Put lots of points on the board. Redskins 45 Giants 0, would be just fine with me. It's been a long time since we had a team that could do that. (WAY TO LONG).......
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
is the defense really improved? is the running game really improved? those are the big what ifs that will shape our season.
Skinsinparadise
The first game to me is big, can they get over the partly psychological hump with the Giants -- ditto can we stop with being surprisingly upset at least once a year (often at home) by a bad team
Hazel-Ra
Simple answer..... Can we remember how to play football in the last 8 minutes of the fourth quarter? Other then Philly II and New York, that's where most of the meltdowns occured. Finish hard, gang.

wrecker
Can we score Touchdowns instead of Field Goals to end drives? I agree. TD's instead of FG's in the Redzone and can we force turnovers on defense. If we can do both we could come away with a W.
CHUBAKAH
Same as it ever was. O Line, and it's the key. If they gel and play well that gives Grossman time and he shouldn't make too many bonehead errors. {Normally makes these errors when rushed} It also means we will have a running game now that we have some "real" talent at the RB position. The receivers are also much improved, and giving Grossman the time the get them the ball will be key. Can they do it is the question for me? brasi
Win or lose, I hope we can be solid all-around...meaning: 1. Can we eliminate the big plays we gave up last year? 2. Can we look competent on offense? In recent years I have gotten frustrated watching errant passes at WR's feet, out-of-bounds, and 3 & outs. 3. Can we get through this game without a significant injury? We're thin. 4. Can we run the 3-4 effectively this year, or not? 5. Rex. Is he ready to be consistent against a great defensive front? I think we may be in good shape; then again...it was pre-season. We'll know in 4 days. HAIL.

1198skinsfuture
I'm interested to see if we can finally put 6 on the board in the endzone rather than scuffling and settling for the field goal...if we have to settle again and again this season we will not win many games

jflow78
- Red Zone scoring - OL against one of the best DLs (even without Osi) - QB and the new #2 Gaffney - Lots of new starters (Kerrigan, Atogwe, Wilson) - Getting pressure on Eli - Can Gano do it in regular season games Those are the things I'm hoping we answer on Sunday. Nomadskin11
While I agree with many of the questions posed, I'm surprised no one has mentioned our secondary yet. What will they look like on gameday, and will they show up. I'm really concerned, even if Landry was playing. Our starting safeties & corners haven't worked together much at all, and I think we were VERY lucky not to have been burned by more long balls in the preseason. I think we've got a great find in Gomes, and I am hoping Barnes can step it up. Not a big fan of Wilson's so far, but would love for him to show me up. That and the o-line are the only two parts of the team that make me very nervous. Everything else is either a known quantity or looks solid. -nomad
