marvinmcneill
Hey I'm bored! Taking a crack at the 53 is better than doing yard work for sure... (2) QB-Beck, Grossman Log jams at WR and DL makes it necessary to start the season with only 2 QB's an UDFA goes to the practice squad (3) RB-Torrain, Helu, Williams (2) FB-Sellers, Young The young guy looked good in limited action last year, but Sellers still brings it on special teams so I think they keep both for one more year. If they drop Sellers due to age we bring in the third QB. (6) WR-Moss, AA, Kelly, Hankerson, Austin, Paul I think they keep six no matter who it is. I'm still rooting for Kelly, I guess just because he's tall. I think he could be supplanted by a free agent like Jacoby Jones though. I think the last two spots are up for grabs between; Austin, Paul, Robinson and Banks. (3) TE-Davis, Paulsen, FA Blocking specialist I love CC, but I think we can get value for him in the shortened off season and Davis has all the tools to be a great pass catching tight end, lets give him his shot before we lose him. (9) OL Starters-Williams, Lichtensteiger, Montgomerey, Harris, Brown Okay so this is a stretch. Can Harris play G? If he can I think its a brilliant move. It gives us depth in case Williams doesn't live up to his potential and great depth at RT. Backups-Capers, Rabach, Heyer, Cook (9) LB- Orakpo, Henson, Riley, Fletcher, Kerrigan, Alexander, Jackson, Wilson, Blades Nothing surprising here. The last spot is between ILB and OLB depending on what Alexander can do...On second thought he can play anywhere on the field so maybe our rookie makes the last spot if they don't choose to bring Blades back. (7) DL NT- Franklin, Bryant, Neild DE-Carricker, Haynesworth, J. Jenkins, Jarmon Franklin is the best player out there at the our greatest position of need on defense, I say they go get him. Obviously the big surprise here is having Haynesworth on the team. I hope that he's having a realization that at the age of 30 no defensive coordinator in the league is going to build a defense around him like they did in Tennessee and we are not trading him to the iggles...If he comes back and plays like he is capable of that is a nasty d-line, assuming he is smart enough to remember what to do on what play... (5) CB-Hall, Rogers, Barnes, Buchanon, Westbrook Looks a lot like last year. I feel bad for Rogers the guy just can't catch a break. He finally becomes an UFA and its a crazy year for CBs. Despite all the dropped ints I think he works well across from Hall. Buchanon comes back for simliar reasons. I hope that Barnes unseats him at nickel. (4) S-Atogwe, Landry, Moore, Gomes I think Doughty goes where he has a chance to start at SS, being a good hardworking guy I think some team gives him a chance (3) Teams- Gano, Bidwell, Sundberg

Bang
My crystal ball can only see the offense right now QB- In a bold move, the Redskins pay 30 million dollars for a small piece of Peyton Manning's neck that was removed in his recent surgery. John Beck will start, but the Manning clone is expected to be ready to play by week 10. Rex Grossman will be the backup. (Donovan McNabb is traded to the Ottawa RoughRiders for a player to be named later.) RB - Ryan torain runs over a security guard on the way into the stadium, displaying awesome power and speed.. but pulls a hamstring and is expected to miss 2-12 weeks. Roy Helu gets the start, backed up by Royster WR- Santana Moss signs with the Bears to deflect interceptions for Jay Cutler leaving newly arrived Santonio Holmes, Hankerson, & "Skittles" Armstrong as the opening trio. (Malcolm Kelly strains an eyelid reading this post, and will be on IR taking up space) OL- Williams, Lichtensteiger, Montgomery, Harvey Dahl, Jamal Brown. Casey Rabach was slated to start, but could not get off of his other job as a revolving door down at the mall. ~Bang
flexxskins
Quick question, has G Carl Nicks ever been brought up as a possible signing by us? If not it's probably because the Saints will more than likely resign him. Right? IMO, if we go into the regular season with Lichensteiner and either Montgomery or Rabach in the middle of our OL we are in deep ****.
warpath213
Casey Rabach was slated to start, but could not get off of his other job as a revolving door down at the mall. ~Bang I love it! Seriously, though, as much as I love what Rabach has done for this team in the past it's time for him to go. If he starts for us this season we truly will have no chance. If we could shore up center and get a decent guard in here we might actually compete in more than 1/2 our games.

chaught76
BOLD = Starter, GREEN = FA acquistion (3) QB: Beck, Grossman, Drew Stanton (5) RB: Torrain, Helu, K. Burney (5) S: Landry, Atogwe, Harris, Gomes, Doughty (3) ST: G. Gano, A. Podlesh, Sundberg I don't think we resign Moss. We had the chance to do this already and we didn't pull the trigger, so he will be free to sign with another team. If we sign a FA WR, then Kelly is off the team OR Paul goes the practice squad. I think we will see a youth movement with this year's roster, so there will be a lot of familiar names cut from the final roster.

chaught76
Drew Stanton.... I am interested in a flyer. Nice pull.... Thank you. Stanton has some limited experience. Adequately mobile (you'd have to be to play behind Detroit's o-line because they are as bad as ours). Fairly young still at 27 and stuck behind Stafford and Shaun Hill in the Lion's depth chart. I am assuming we are not trading players for draft picks in our FA; otherwise I would have gone a different direction.

That's 2 possible QB jerseys to sell once Vince melts down. lol add crappy Snyder marketing catchphrase here, and we're good to go..( RU in, Future is Now, Let's make some lazy veteran athletes rich...whatever) And I'll post mine later, but anyone who has Royster or Williams over James Davis gets a raised eyebrow from me. ****s..... He looked promising in the Giants game, then was never heard from again after a missed block. Shanahan sure does have an iron fist sometimes.
