B55Green
I didn't see this posted anywhere, so please excuse me if this has been already. I was just talking with my father and a lady from work asked him if he had gotten a letter from the Washington Redskins asking about a homicide that happened during the Sunday Night football game between them and the Colts at Fedex Field. Apparently they are trying to find witnesses who saw anything. I'm assuming it must have been a fight, but I don't know. Did anyone get this letter? rumplestilskin
My guess is Haynesworth did it.
NewCliche21
Not to be totally off topic, but you're telling me that someone died, but the bike cop still had the time to threaten to fine me for peeing into a bush following the game? Priorities much?

AKM311
If true, it is a shock. Shock that it never hit a media outlet and that no story was developed. If someone is dying at a football game, that is scary and ridiculous.

capcrunch98
I haven't heard anything about this, and I certainly hope it isn't true. That game was over 3 months ago. Are they really just now expanding the investigation to search for additional witnesses? If so, I can't say I'm surprised. 2 years ago at the season finale versus Dallas my friend (a level-headed Skins fan who has never picked a fight in his life) got jumped by 2 drunk Skins fans. He has no idea why (he's thinking it was a case of mistaken identity). My friend got pretty messed up and was taken to the first aid station on the 400 level before being sent to the hospital for facial injuries. FedEx security and the cops detained the two guys who did it, and after questioning they were let go to leave the stadium (without escort). My friend called the PG County Police a couple days later with the case number provided to him by FedEx Field security. He found out that nobody had recorded the identity of the two jerkoffs, nor the names of the witnesses who had lingered around and had seen the fight. HapHaszard
Not a word about this in the press or I would have known about it. I suspect it didn't happen. Even Matt Mosley would have reported this with glee.

HOF44
Sounds odd to me. Why or how did they know to send this lady a letter. A mass mailing we would have heard about. Is she a season ticket holder?

Is she a season ticket holder? Yes, she's a season ticket holder. Maybe it was only sent to the sections where the fight occurred? I really don't know though, that's why I wanted to ask on here to see if anyone else had heard anything. I believe the letter just got to her on Friday or something so maybe they haven't made it all around yet.
Zhouse
Hard to believe a Homicide on gameday at fedexfield will go unreported. Maybe the crime didn't take place at fedex field but involves a person that attended the game?

Weird, you figure the police would be the ones making contact with people and asking for leads.

B55Green
My father works with the woman every other weekend, definitely will get him to make a copy of the letter and I will scan it here at home and upload it for everyone. We all are assuming it might have happened in the stadium, but it could have happened in the parking lot.

Either way, I can't imagine that it would have gone unnoticed like this...and why would the Redskins be contacting people, and not the police? None of this makes sense. None of this makes sense. I agree, definitely shouldn't be coming out this late, but maybe they just ran out of leads? Kinda like a cold case they find something new and start asking people for help again. Really don't know. I find it believable this could have happened, alcohol, fight, guy lands wrong and cracks his head. Maybe the guy went into a coma and died? Who knows. Like I said I'll update the thread when I get the paper work so hopefully it clears things up a little more.
