The Washington Redskins have been in every game they have played this year to the final minutes. Last week they were literally three inches away from beating the Indianapolis Colts. Watch the replay on Donovan McNabb's second pick and it will absolutely kill you. Three more inches forward and Joey Galloway is gone for six. This week they find themselves in a favorable match-up against former Mike Shanahan student Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears. The Bears line has been terrible this year. They have allowed their quarterbacks to be sacked some 27 times, putting them on pace for 67 sacks this year. If the 'Skins defense can tighten up and get to Cutler the could avoid yet another nail bitter. The experts seem to think the same thing as the majority is picking Washington to get the job done.

(Not all picks have been posted yet. I will updated as they make their way online.)

I'm pretty confident as well, which kind of scares me...

However, I want to know what Prisco's rationale for this is:

The Bears offensive line is a disaster, but the Redskins haven't exactly lit it up rushing the quarterback. The Bears can score if they can protect. I say they protect better here. Jay Cutler will have success here against a Redskins defense that had issues against the Colts. The Redskins won't keep up.

The Redskins have 13 sacks -- good for 11th in the league. Pretty good -- one sack more than Dallas (in one more game). More than Indy with Freeny and Mathis. Carolina has 7 sacks on the year...three of which came against the Bears. They gave up 6 against Seattle, and they have no one like Orakpo. Did he research this at all?

Prisco will never pick us to win. For real, I think he thinks the team will finish 5-11 or worse. But I'm real confident about this weekend too. We should take it to em.

I don't think there is a writer out there who I have disagreed with more than Prisco. And it's not just homerism, I read his articles and can easily find scores of evidence to the contrary that he either blatantly ignored or just was ignorant in general of. He is followed closely by Let Fatassarelli and Matt Mosley.

With the Giants getting 9 sacks in the first half against the Bears, we should be able to squeak out 5 in the game, I would think.

I really hope Rak and Landry destroy this team, I also hope AH plays and puts every ounce of emotion into this game just to maul people left and rights, especially after getting voted by the players as one of the top over-rated players in the league in SI this week. That CAN'T make the man happy to hear.
