RichmondRedskin88
Why are you guys upset? Who would you'd rather have them take? I don't think its so much the selection as much as losing the guys we wanted. Of course I can't speak for everyone.
Last Fan Standing
Confidence issue. The FT % will come up in time because he can obviously shoot. Yeah I just read something that says he tends to fold under pressure. I hope he finds a way to take care of that. http://www.nbadraft.net/players/jan-vesely
skinsngibbs4life
From that perspective, I do understand the pick if they weren't going to try and make a trade. People always act like its simple to make a trade. Maybe they tried and there wasn't the right trade partner there and the value just wasnt there. We'll never know

Thinking Skins
Why are you guys upset? Who would you'd rather have them take? Kawhi Leonard, Chris Singleton, Morris, Jordan Hamilton, a bunch of players who I consider better than him. But its all for naught. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself. Hopefully we pick up Jordan Hamilton at 18 if he is there and maybe Nolan Smith in the 2nd round. But the Vesely pick is growing on me he seems like a funny guy and has a little swag in him with the blake griffin comment from the interview. If nothing else we will be a very entertaining team to watch next year. Edited June 24, 2011 by Dave25
Thinking Skins
at this rate, I'd have rather traded Mcgee and 6 for Williams.

Chachie
I watched this pick with very little knowledge about the players and enjoyed it. It was fun to see him lay one on his gal and I liked his dunks in the vids. It was a good 6th pick experience. Then I came here.

If nothing else we will be a very entertaining team to watch next year. Thats the thing. We don't need entertaining. I want a player, a player who I know is going to bring some things to my team, like leadership and defense. I don't want a wishy washy guy who's "athletic" with "potential". With our luck, he'll suck for the first few years of his rookie contract and then explode right when its time to resign him, as it happens most often. And personally I am okay with the Vesely pick - given who was off the board. He will be fun to watch in transition but if he continues to improve his jump shot - then I would love the mismatches he would create as a 6'11 SF. Curse O' Les Boulez You need to calm down this draft is really bad in terms of getting a "star impact" player, outside of Williams Irving and Kanter of course and we were not going to trade up to get one of those guys. I'm just glad we didn't pick Leonard he has bust written all over him atleast this guy will fit in well with our fast paced offense and we still can pick up other pieces with the next few picks. Curse O' Les Boulez I agree that we need more than dazzling dunks. But you have to admit that he's an interesting prospect at the 3. We need a solid wing man - or two and if he develops enough of a jump shot to be dangerous - with his size and athleticism he could turn into a solid pick. Leonard and Singleton were my favorite players because of their leadership and defense. I didn't see a star player, but it seems EG et al sees Vesley as that star. I just don't see it. THe only problem with Leonard and Singleton are that they don't have jumpers, but I'm more confident in them improving that (as we all keep saying that John Wall will) than I am in Vesley becoming a decent defender and rebounder, as well as getting a decent jumpshot. Basically Vesley is mediocre in everything and needs to improve everywhere, whereas at least with Leonard and Singleton we know we're getting great defenders and rebounders who need to work on their shots. None of us have a clue how this guy is going to project. With the pick we had, this is making the best of a bad situation. He complements J Wall perfectly. I'm not excited, but I'm willing to sit on my hands, because I (just like you) am not involved in the NBA scouting or decision making process and it would be foolish to pretend like I really know what I am talking about
