DC9
Meh, the only excitement of the game was the little dust-up between Ibe and tattoo dude. By far the most meh game I've seen since the Champions League. Hopefully Coutinho is okay... him coming off had better been due to injury. 80 minutes played I just realised Gareth Barry was playing! Neither midfield really had their way. Lucas and Coutinho going off and then Gerrard did very little to affect the game from up top. Couple that with Joe Allen and it's tapioca pudding on graham crackers for everyone...

Agree DC, felt to me like they were there for the taking, and that substitution had a very negative effect on your attacking threat. BR should have gone for the kill instead. DC9
Jo, kid seems like he's got some of the goods you want out of a winger. Pace, good vision, good weight on the ball. Needs some time to refine still but he did well vs Bournmouth.

My kid is a huge Gotze fan. He has been for a couple of years. That makes Bayern Munich his second favorite team behind Liverpool. I will pull for Munich when they are not playing Liverpool

Fred Jones
When I was stationed overseas I got to see them play a few times in the old Olympiastadion in Munich. Edit: Jobaga, I am a big fan of Schwensteiger and Lahm is a class act. I loved listening to the announces saying Schwensteiger's name during the world cup. My wife loves Neuer and is a big fan of Lahm as well. Edited February 9, 2015 by Fred Jones
jobaga
I am seeing that Lucas may be out for a while. I really hope BR brings a in a defender or moves back to four in the back and shifts Can to the midfield. I think the kid has earned some time in his best position. DC9
I thought Ibe had a good game as well. I did, too. I think he's going to be your immediate "pace" guy down the wings if Sterling ends up going to Real this summer. Considering he hadn't played on that side before I think he did pretty well, needs some work on distribution and vision. His manager in the Championship said early on they needed two balls, one for Jordon and one for the rest of the team, but he figured that one out as the year progressed. One thing I'd like to see him get coached up on is creating something when the pass isn't there, switching the play, and/or distribution into the box from the wing. When he has a lane he is lethal to get in, but if it isn't there he dribbled it back to Can, Skrtel, or Hendo every time. I did like that he seemed to be in on the "don't pass it to Allen" joke. That finish would've been soooo sweet. I am seeing that Lucas may be out for a while. I really hope BR brings a in a defender or moves back to four in the back and shifts Can to the midfield. I think the kid has earned some time in his best position. Kolo will be back from ACON (as a winner, who scored his Pen after extra time!) so hopefully he moves to RCB and Can will be able to slide into the 6 role with Hendo. That will only make the side stronger going forward. Toure, Skrtel, and Sakho as a back 3 also has a nasty disposition about it.
