Joe is a thug. But this is not about him, its about a crime syndicate issuing threats against American authorities. Can't have that, even for a bag a garbage like Sheriff Joe.

Sniff sniff, if only the scumbags and illegal aliens had obeyed the law. Then they would not have had to put up with the humiliating conditions (no cable tv or smuggled drugs) and become the liberal poster boys for the head in the sand demographic.

I am not particularly concerned with tent cities and pink underwear. Try again.

I agree. Change "cartel" to "militia" and change "Arpaio" to "Obama". Now read some of the comments in this thread and notice how screwed up they are.

No need to try and flip it to make it seem sympathetic for Joe. He abuses his american right as a sheriff to be a thug. It's not about the immigration law but more about all the other things he does to AMERICANS!..

This is the key part of your post. Because right now I am very skeptical because Arpaio has lost all public trust with issues like this. He continuously abuses his powers to intimidate his political opponents and certainly isn't above faking a death threat via random anonymous text message from the drug cartel to try and gain support. Think about it for a minute why the hell would drug cartels do something like that? It makes next to no sense for them to issue a death threat via text message to some random lady. Arpaio is a piece of **** and I highly doubt that the death threat is real but if it is I hope they are ramping up security for him and are able to protect him because the cartels are nasty. I don't think anyone can cheer for the cartels here knowing what they do on a consistent basis.

Do you have a clue as to why people don't like him? For a lot of us, it has NOTHING to do with illegal immigration.

The opinion of he deserves to live even though he is a scum bag is a liberal point of view.

It would be like me saying someone should take a bullet for obama or pelosi even if they are out to destroy the country with their policies. And while there is evidence its true if left unchecked that is viewpoint among a minority among conservatives.

Yeah I've heard some of the reasons why liberals don't like him. And??

As far as the thread topic, this whole thing sounds totallly fake. Randomly sent text messages offering a million dollar reward for a hit? So after you kill the sherrif, you just roll on down to the cartel's HQ and collect your stacks of cash, right? LOL, yeah, I see that happening :ols:

Pssst. that isn't what liberals are complaining about. Its his laundry list of human rights violations, the numerous people who died under his watch or directly because of his actions, the fact that he has 50 time more law suits against him than New York City, Houston, Chicago, and Los Angeles penal systems combined. Also faked a murder plot against himself, seems kind of similar to these death threats via text message to a random woman from the cartel.

Also crime rates have gone up in his jurisdiction while going down everywhere else in Arizona, probably the fact that he rarely targets non-hispanics or the fact that he hasn't served 40,000 felony warrants.

If we can have incompetent / stupid people in Congress and the Obama admin how is it inconceivable to think criminals can't be just as stupid?

I've been wondering how long it is going to take before these syndicates get ****y enough to decide that they can intimidate us & bring the war over the border. They were talking about how they were willing to shoot undercover police officers not too long ago & now this. I have to think we aren't too far from the situation taking place as it's a reasonable progression.

It's one thing to have a drug war going on right outside of our border or even spilling over the border but them keeping it contained amongst themselves. It's going to be quite another if they decide to start knocking us off which seems to be gradually happening. I have to believe at some point they are going to drag us into this and we're gonna have to fight down there. Am I wrong? I really wonder how this is going to play out.

But he feels strongly that the world should be told about the conditions in the jail system overseen by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who once bragged that he spent more on feeding the guard dogs than the prisoners, on the basis that ‘the dogs never committed a crime and they’re working for a living’.

Attwood writes of prisoners suffering festering untreated skin conditions in sweltering heat, eating food in which dead rats are sometimes found and enduring a culture of violence.

Asked for the lowest point of his hellish sojourn in Arizona’s penal system, Shaun Attwood answers without hesitation. "When I was moved to maximum security," he says.

"It was a two-man cell full of ****roaches. Trying to sleep with ****roaches crawling all over me was impossible at first. I had to be put on medication. I ended up having a nervous breakdown. They tickled the palms of your hand and your feet. They go in your ears, try to eat your ear wax. And you’re locked in that cell all night. You see the ****roaches lining up in the cracks in the wall, as if they know what time lights go out. And as soon as the lights go out, they swarm the room."

Attwood, who earned his place in maximum security when his bail bond hit $1.5m, adds:"You can put the sheet around you to keep them off, but you’ve got these skin infections and it’s sweaty and moist so you end up taking the sheet off you and letting the ****roaches crawl on you."

Hey, I've watched The Sopranos, and I distinctly remember that when Tony Soprano wanted somebody whacked, the way he did it was by spam emailing everybody on the internet, asking complete strangers to whack somebody for him.
