DeanCollins
For you SRV fans - let me introduce you to Chris Duarte. His first LP texas Sugar Strat Magic is incredible, but the rest are fairly lame. I saw CD when that LP was released and a few other times. Quite a player. Willie Dixon wrote a lot of songs that became hits by British rock bands. He also was on most of the Chess recordings composing, cowritting, and playing bass. enjoy this high quality stereo recording from his LP "I am the Blues" Highly recommend that CD for your collection Z2uGxHoYH3Y Early Johnny Winter LPs have awesome blues recordings. 8Tyg5SJDpiQ Tampa Red, great blues player from the 30's-40's SDUAejDp0m4 Gary Moore, one of my favorites and someone I'd fly to go see if given the chance. China
Willie Dixon. I still remember going to see Willie Dixon & the Chicago Blues Allstars in a small arena when I was a freshman at college (Michigan State, 1984). My friend and I screamed for them to play Spoonful (which Cream made famous) and they did. Awesome. Led Zeppelin did some of his music as well.

HighPlainsDrifter
^^^Muddy is my all time favorite. If you haven't had a chance to listen to his "One More Mile" 2-CD set...DO IT. Some really good stuff on there. I also love Taj Mahal. His "In Progress and In Motion" set is unbelievable. Not straight blues per say but a very bluesy folk. Very, very good. HighOnHendrix
Lots of good stuff in this thread! Most of the essential guys like the Three Kings, Hooker, Taj, etc. have already come up, but here are a couple of guys who should be essential, but for some reason stay undiscovered by way too many. Enjoy! 1muBKq-1V-8 l1NSj8sbPrg 6Ueuhfr2eEI RvtI0nGSVoQ
