For you SRV fans - let me introduce you to Chris Duarte. His first LP texas Sugar Strat Magic is incredible, but the rest are fairly lame.

I saw CD when that LP was released and a few other times. Quite a player.

Willie Dixon wrote a lot of songs that became hits by British rock bands. He also was on most of the Chess recordings composing, cowritting, and playing bass. enjoy this high quality stereo recording from his LP "I am the Blues"

Highly recommend that CD for your collection

Early Johnny Winter LPs have awesome blues recordings.

Tampa Red, great blues player from the 30's-40's

Gary Moore, one of my favorites and someone I'd fly to go see if given the chance.

Willie Dixon. I still remember going to see Willie Dixon & the Chicago Blues Allstars in a small arena when I was a freshman at college (Michigan State, 1984). My friend and I screamed for them to play Spoonful (which Cream made famous) and they did. Awesome.

Led Zeppelin did some of his music as well.

Lots of good stuff in this thread! Most of the essential guys like the Three Kings, Hooker, Taj, etc. have already come up, but here are a couple of guys who should be essential, but for some reason stay undiscovered by way too many. Enjoy!
