Sanders 83
As a tight end, sure. As a fullback prospect, he grades higher if you're a team which uses a fullback. At his size with those hands, he creates a weapon Sellers always thought he was, but never actually was. Art your going to get no where with logic in this thread... AllAboutTheU
yeah we got 3 of em none of which you can REALLY depend on... not sayig morris will immediately.. jus sayin Are you kidding? Chris Cooley and Fred Davis are both Pro Bowl caliber and Davis played out of his mind last year while Cooley was out. Ill be surprised if this guy has 10 catches this year. Rex Tomb
Stop talking and wacht this vid. THE KID can BLOCK, and have TREMENDOUS hands. A fullback in the nfl, with Sellers getting old... Great job Shanny and cia Okay, I'm sold. This guy is a fantastic blocker. Looks like we have Sellers' replacement waiting in the wings. Looks like your prototypical blocker to screen player. Runs with bruising style, hits hard on his blocks. He might even have better hands than Sellers (who was lackluster this past season). Thanks for sharing the video Yurk. I was scratching my head wondering what we were doing with this pick. Now I see. Hail! :helmet:
BayouBrave86
600+ yards and 12 td's, blocking machine..beast.
Enter Apotheosis
Art your going to get no where with logic in this thread... Logic never has an immediate effect on ES... but if you're persistent it will set in and eventually people will get it. I feel like some sort of farming metaphor would be appropriate here but I'm drawing a blank. Possibly something with a little sexual innuendo. Any takers? skinsfanno9
Really, we're gonna have to wait a year or two before deciding that Allen is a Cerratto redux in choosing crappy draft picks. This might be a great pick. Bottom line, we just don't know. And truly, if one of the three 6-7 round picks contributes in a real way, we should be happy. This guy might be a stud on special teams for all we know.

He is not going to be catching man. Watch the youtube vid, he is going to be a special teams machine, and help on blocking downs. This kid looks like a stud on tape!! Gator Bait
No... people are flying off of the handle because this is actually a terrible pick. We have Chris Cooley, Fred Davis, and Todd Yoder. Thats one of the best TE corps in the league. This is a horrible pick when we shouldve gone OL or at least a position of need! TE is where we have our most depth! and you can claim it is a terrible pick because you are a professional NFL scout right? I mean, you didn't even know Yoder isn't on the team any more....you don't know jack ****....take a hike bro.
Skinsinparadise
If Mike Shanahan thinks this guy has the same potential in his system as Peyton Hillis we just got a steal. that's what am thinking, wasn't Hills a 7th rounder? Shanny has shown to be good at finding offensive talent late in the draft. How the heck can we on the board judge his decisions on reflex right now -- we are working with 1% of his expertise if that and have 1% of his information about these players if that. The Diesel
6'1 253.... sounds like a FB to me. There are so many idiots on this board. What do you expect to get from a 6th round pick you frigging mouth breathers?
mhenry41h
This pick is perplexing on the surface. I have to believe that there is a reason that we are yet unaware of that lead to this pick. It appears all the worse with Sam Young OT from Notre Dame being selected by the Cowgirls 5 picks later. The lack of O-linemen being selected with these late picks leads me to believe that the Kyle Shanahan interview regarding the O-line being in good shape is true. He must assuredly believe that adding Williams at LT makes all the difference.

wvuskins15
im a little disappointed just bc i thought we had bigger needs like a speedy running back, OL, or FS...but it is just the 6th round so these players probably arent much. he does have pretty good highlights. hopefully some speedster or OL fall to us in the 7th
WARLORD1863
-WOW!!!!!! WOW!!!!!! WOW!!!!!! This kid can block, I was just asking for a com on man befor watching this vid, but now I see why we wanted him.-Everyone needs to watch this Vid, right now. At least he will be a special teams machine!! After seeing the video I'm fully onboard with this pick. This guy is a blocking specialist, and blocking is something we need. #98QBKiller
Surprise, surprise we took a position we were already deep at. Even if they want to convert this kid to a FB, he's rushed the ball a total of 7 times in college. For a whopping 15 yards (2.1 yd average). Maybe he's a stud blocker or something :whoknows: But basically at this point in the draft you're just drafting for depth and/or special teams, once in a blue moon you may get lucky and get a diamond in the rough but it's rare. boobiemiles
I used to hear the same things about Beathard's drafts. He traded a #1 pick for a #3 and two #5 picks in 1981 and everyone thought he was crazy........................ until his #3 became Russ Grimm and his first #5 became Dexter Manley You know Allen is nothing like Bobby Bethard. Bethard would have taken Bruce Campbell. The nightmare continues at FedEx.
Warhead36
Why the **** do we draft TEs/FBs every year? They end up getting cut like a year later anyway. Bad pick IMO.
