skinpride1
I watched the press conference and Buges is really a character. You could tell he was really disappointed that they sucked so bad this year but I really don't blame buges I blame Vinny for handing him some piss poor talent.(except Samuels and Dock). Sorry, Buges that you didn't have some real talent and depth to work with. You truly are one of the NFL and Redskins best of all time!!! Enjoy your retirement!!!You deserve it!! Bryan81
Bugel is a Redskins great. I personally would have liked to see him work with shanahan, but I wil lnot begrudge "Boss Hog" his well earned retirement.
tr1
Sad news...but, time marches on. I know he had a tough year personally last year...and, he stuck with the team... I have to say he's one of the guys most responsible for my sporting fandom highs of all time. Thank you, Joe.

Stugein
The man is responsible in some way for all of my greatest memories as a fan of this team. I don't think that there are adequate words to thank him for that.

abdcskins
I don't often say I love players and/or coaches. But I loved Joe Bugel. He was the epitomy of what a tough grinding player, not just offensive lineman, should be. I wish I could've seen the press conference. Much love, Buges. Best of luck in the future. bikie
was happy to hear shanahan tried to convince him to stay... while the team struggled, buges went out on top... one of the best position coaches ever and often the heart and soul of this franchise... That was something that Mike did that. And considering the personal stuff he went through over the past couple of years,he did a great job. Go figure. Buges was one of a kind and if there is any justice in the world,he and/or some of those guys he coached go to the HOF. Amazing the guys who showed up at his retirement press conference. A real treat is reading all the comments by guys he coached or coached with.
