  1. I would go with a young veteran QB. The two names that I think would be a good fit are: 1. Jameis Winston: If he could reduce the turnovers, he would be a great addition to the offense. 2. Mitch Trubisky: Granted, he's not Mahomes or Watson but he's not a total bust either. I think Trubisky could blossom with a change of scenery, like Ryan Tannehill. Also, since both Winston and Trubisky are free agents, you don't have to trade any draft choices.
  2. One thing I enjoyed during the late 1980s/early 1990s was watching ABC's TGIF lineup on Friday nights. My favorite TGIF shows were "Just the Ten of Us" and "Mr. Belvedere."
  3. Even though my Angels beat Seattle tonight, you can pretty much stick a fork in us because we're done. Even if the Rangers badly collapse, I don't think the Angels are playing good enough baseball to catch them. Losing Vlad, Lackey and Figgins all in one offseason was a blow because that's a lot of leadership that was lost. But I believe things truly started going south when Morales went down with his freak injury after hitting that walk-off grand slam home run. If Texas does hold on and win the AL West, I think they have a good chance at reaching the World Series.
  4. Well, my Angels are eight games behind the Rangers going into today's action. I haven't given up hope yet but the odds are definitely stacked against us. If the Angels had a healthy Kendry Morales, I would feel better about our chances.
  5. Well, my Angels got swept by Boston today. And to top things off, Pineiro is out 6 to 8 weeks -- dealing another blow to our pitching staff. We pretty much have to sweep Texas at home this weekend to remain in the hunt for the AL West crown. If the Rangers win 2 or 3 games at the Big A, it might well be curtains for us.
  6. Well, it's getting towards the now-or-never point for my Angels, who lost two big games to Texas the last two nights. If we don't win the next two games at Texas, then we're in big trouble.
