lovemaskins
Okay guys it's week 2. Still waiting for Portis to show that burst and quickness. Maybe next week eh. Since everyone is bashing Campbell, deservingly so, I figured I'd look at another part of the Offense. Clinton has been great, but we really need another back. We've used Clinton up. He looked slow, lethargic, and now lacks burst and agility. AND THIS IS WEEK 1. He is definitely not going to last another season of continuous pounding, due to Jason's inabilty to move the chains or make big plays. So cheers to another mediocre year and the real unerstanding of how far our offense is from being anything but pathetic. No O-line, No QB, and now no running back. I'm still gonna wait and see about the WR's, but Moss isn't getting any younger either.:doh:
Hitman#21
Down 17-0 its hard to run the ball..a good Qb or a good passing game sets up the running game.
Xero21
At one point he had 10 rushes for 54 yards. Clinton Portis is the very LEAST of our troubles.

spjunkies
Clint is still a very good back, but I think it's obvious that he's approaching that point where backs have that fast decline.

MumboSauce
CP is fine..he starts slow. by game 3 he'll roll. But we need another back to compliment him other than Betts..or anyone else on the roster.
HailToTheRedskins14
I won't say he's pathetic, but I agree. He never breaks a big one. That 34 yarder will probably end up being his longest run of the year. And I don't think his attitude helps the team either.
superozman
Wow - of all things to complain about in the game? Haha...it was the NY defense man...not going to have a stellar game. There are about 5 other areas that need improvement before Cliton Portis, and some of them would help CP. And hitman, your SIGNATURE SUCKS!!! ;-)
hailskins11
It's not CP... I can predict when we run and where we are running before the ball is snapped.(didn't predict the 3rd and 8 check down though) but my point is if we know when and where we are going to be running, you can bet the defense does too. Our running is VERY predictable.
RyansRangers
the ole portis would have broken that 34 yrd run but he has los a step
Xero21
yeah...but when one is a 34 yard run... its pathetic. I think you need to rewatch the game. Almost every run besides the long one, the Giants were ALL OVER. I mean tons of guys waiting for Portis. The only bad run I put on Portis is the one where he ran right into Devin Thomas and tried to run through him. Should have cut inside. Otherwise, he did what he could. Sticksboi05
yeah...but when one is a 34 yard run... its pathetic. LOL it's not hard to stop the runner when you run every damn play to the left.
Fan035
We need a new coach, quarterback, running back, receivers and offensive line.

Destino
Portis hasn't lost a step... he's lost 3. He's still a good back but we definitely need a change of pace back. Betts is a weaker Portis. Mason is a smaller Portis. We need a speed back, like "not caught from behind" speed back. Only player on our team that can do that is Moss. SIXX99
I think we should draft a NASCAR driver somebody used to going to the left.
SkinsTerps26
we should have drafted adrian peterson over that homo landry, i ****ing hate that farce of a safety.
WSHRedskins3ATLBraves3
Hunter Smith? Just kidding, we don't need a RB.
lovemaskins
I watched the game very closely and portis looks sloooooooooow. He may not be the biggest problem, but his inability to cut and make people miss is on'y going to get worse as the season progresses. After watching that game, I wouldn't be the least bit afraid of Clinton Portis and Redskins running attack. We need a new offense. Seriously, QB, Oline, RB, backup running back. The only cog in our offense is Cooley. Anyone seeing anything different really has on the burgandy and gold goggles. I luv the skins, but I call it like I see it. Really? So you think the Giants didn't play the run well? You don't think they completely crowded the line of scrimmage with guys and most running plays? You think our offensive line got a lot of push? If so, you were definitely NOT watching the Redskins game.
dakotaskinsfan
Are you kidding me? RB was one of the few highlights of the short 2009 season. try play calling, third down defense and 100 million doller men and 54 million dollar men... damn beers are making me judgmental of this team... Damn right, that's definitley what I saw. But hey, maybe he'll look faster next year after another season of pounding cause he's the only offensive option.
