Burgold
I wanted to do this a little bit differently than the cartoon list. Like the cartoon we will randomly generate a grouping. However, while we will strive for the top 90 bands/singers, they will not be processed entirely randomly. We will start with 6 groupings: the fifties the sixties the seventies the eighties the nineties the naughts Each group will be allowed fifteen entrants and then it will be closed. You can enter a candidate in any of the time periods. Then, we will narrow each time period to it's top 3 before having them do battle with each other. For bands that spanned two decades choose which one you think they are more identified with. For example, Elvis belongs much more to the fifties than the sixties. The Who are much more of a 70's band than a 60's. Copy and paste the list to make it easier for everyone else. I'll start with a few obvious ones. 50's 1. Buddy Holly and the Crickets 2. 60's 1. The Beatles 2. Aretha Franklin 3. 70's 1. 2. 80's 1. 2. 90's 1. 2. 00's 1. 2. I

Bang
50's 1. Link Wray (invented rock and roll as we know it.) 2. Elvis 3. Jackie Wilson 4. Muddy Waters 5. Chuck Berry 60's 1. The Beatles 2. The Temptations 3. Jimi Hendrix Experience 4. The Who (I say they are a 60s band. Much of their best stuff is from the 60s, and they were around for most of the decade. They owned Woodstock, and that IS the 60s.) 5. The Rolling Stones 70's 1. Led Zeppelin 2.Aerosmith (Their first four albums are heavyweights. "Rocks" can stand toe to toe with any hard rock album ever made.) 3. Ramones (they blew the doors open again and brought Rock and Roll back down to where it belongs.) 4. Talking Heads. Ridiculously innovative, and their best stuff was made in the 70s. "Remain in Light" was recorded in the late 70s and is one of the best and most original albums of all time (although it was technically released in early 1980.) 5. Bruuuuuuuuce! 80's 1.U2 2. The Cure 3. The Clash 4. The Pixies 5. The Police 90's 1. Oasis 2. Nirvana 3. Stone Roses 4. Pearl Jam 5. Tool 00's 1. radiohead 2. Muse 3. PleaseBlitz
Not that im a fan, but you have to include Mariah Carey in the 90's considering she sold more albums than anyone, and her voice is incredible, even if she is nuttier than a snickers. Also, she is quite hot. 2000's you need to include Incubus, 1990's you need to include Stone Temple Pilots, 1980's you may want to include Micheal Jackson.
