Bubble Screen
Cavs don't match up well with the Hawks. You can't start Delonte West at the 2 against Joe Johnson. Joe is about 6'8 240 with good post moves. Plus, Marvin Williams can defend Lebron pretty well. There's a lot of points to be had in transition for the Hawks with the Horford - Big Z matchup. Mo Williams doesn't penetrate well enough to take full advantage of Bibby's defense, he's more of a shooter. You may be right about all this. But I just don't put much stock in what team's did vs one another in the regular season. Just remember, a few years ago the Cavs swept the Spurs in the regular season. How'd that turn out in the Finals?

ixcuincle
Nah, they'll probably win one or two games, or heck, maybe the series. But it would be nice to see the defending Eastern Conference champs be escorted out of the playoffs as soon as possible. Lol Starbury scoreless again...Listen, I don't claim to watch every Boston Celtics game but how has that signing worked out?
StillUnknown
i think Chicago could win this series they'll have to play almost perfect for 4 games, but its possible. they have the length to bother boston w/o KG i think it goes 6 or 7 games regardless detroit should just forefit

RedskinsFan28
As much as I hate to say it, the Spurs look like they may not advance past the first round. No Manu is obviously a major reason, but Dallas is a team that presents too many matchup problems. Doesn't help that Mason and Bonner are defensive liabilities. I hope they advance, but it doesn't look too good.

cjcdaman
everybody talkin about portland challengin the lakers, its lookin ugly in portland right now Eh, 15 point leads in the NBA mean nothing. However, playoff experience might hurt Portland.
ixcuincle
I'm very surprised the Rockets are doing so well. Replace 2008 with 2009, same idea PS : Isn't TMac out for season...so if the Rockets win then Tmac still will have never gotten out of the first round LOL clown

CrypticVillain
And I made this very point earlier today to someone today who was on Portlands' nuts. It is just one game. Portland was overwhelmed and I had a feeling that Houston was going to take one of the first games, but I have hope. Roy wasn't getting no help at all tonight. Yao and Scola hasn't missed a shot all night and the team is shooting SIXTY PERCENT from the floor, I can't even do that on NBA 2k9, lol. I like how Oden is being more aggressive, maybe he could do that in game 2. But this is why I like the West playoffs this year. I think the difference between the 1 and 8 seed is marginal and a game could be won or lose with a couple of screw ups or lucky bounces. But what Houston is doing is nothing but pure domination. But I still got Blazers in 7.

Such a promising career all but squandered because he gets hurt too much. The Rockets are doing great b/c they've got Artest, Yao and Scola all doing big things. deejaydana
The Blazers got worked over tonight but every team has a cold night and tonight was theirs. They are too talented to not give the Rockets a great series. I think the Blazers have the best chance of beating the Lakers then any team in the West and am looking forward to seeing them in the next round. One thing that bugs me though: NBA playoffs are far too long.

But you know how greedy big companies are. Anything to make that extra penny.

You think the Blazers got worked over tonite by Houston? The Lakers would completely abuse them in a 7 game series.

You think the Blazers got worked over tonite by Houston? The Lakers would completely abuse them in a 7 game series. The problem I see with them is that offensively they seem one dimensional. Get the ball to Brandon Roy and let him do his thing. Unfortunately Houston defended that very well after Roy got 10 in the first quarter. What they need to do is get Aldridge the ball in the post more often and stop forcing him outside where he shoots mid range jumpers. I don't see Portland winning more than a game in this series if they don't adjust to Houston and Yao Ming especially.
