The current Redskins FO needs to learn not to always go for the big-name fix. The best organizations (i.e. the Pats, Chargers, Colts, Steelers) build teams through the draft, and the Redskins need to follow that approach. Big-name FAs aren't always the answer.

We all do that with Gibbs, I don't know the way I look at it is I'd rather have Snyder who will sign whoever the coaches or himself want and figure a way around the salary cap. Then owners that wont spend the money or make the moves that are needed. Snyders way hasn't worked I'll admit but it is fun to watch.

I know this thread is shot...but our o-line wasn't a complete mess and no where near as bad as the Bears. They also faced some stingy pass rushers and front 7's in their division (Vikes, Pack, Lions)

I still wish we could have gotten Cutler, would have been fine with me

So the consensus of this board used to be that it was idiotic and Vinnyicious to trade away two first round draft picks+, contrast that to the current ES majority who now say that you have to "trade the farm" for the right guy. A hilariously appropriate bump

Why does everyone use "trade the farm" when talking about getting a QB? To me "trading the farm" is akin to what the Saints did for Ricky Williams. Getting a top QB is going to take some picks, but not all 18 picks we have the next 2 years.
