zoony
I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner quite frankly. It was the right move for the organization. That said, I feel bad for Herm. He strikes me as a genuinely decent and good human being. A class act all the way. Good luck to him going forward.

He's a better coach than his record in KC. he inherited an old team with no QB, and a bad FO situation. He'll bounce back. Maybe as DC in Indy

Thinking Skins
He should've never gone to KC. That was just a losing hand and people were predicting that from the jump.

twenty-eight
^^ Nice upgrade, KC! Lets see what Shanny can do with Tyler Thigpen. I wonder if LJ still wants to be dealt?

Tennessee Ed
He should've never gone to KC. That was just a losing hand and people were predicting that from the jump. This is exactly what I thought. I wonder who KC is going to trick into committing career suicide?:shot: Good Luck Herm, you seem like a good man. Oldskool
Can they say they interviewed Edwards for the re-hire? According to what ive read and from what I heard on ESPN, trying that as a backdoor to the Rooney Rule does not satisfy the league.
TheREALJBird
I feel bad for Herm, that was a sinking ship he went to. Scrubs at QB, a once great O line that was NEVER addressed by upper management and now is below average/average, and a RB whose a headcase. str8jacket
Herm Edwards was a great player and always a good coordinator, very good db coach. He will land a gig somewhere. And truly seems like one of the nicest guys in sports. That may have been his downfall with the players.
Bubble Screen
He's a better coach than his record in KC. he inherited an old team with no QB, and a bad FO situation. He'll bounce back. Maybe as DC in Indy Its also rumored that he could fill the vacant DC in Carolina. He or Haslett.

And truly seems like one of the nicest guys in sports. That may have been his downfall with the players. I don't think Edwards was ever a coordinator. He jumped from a DB coach to HC. As for his downfall it wasn't controlling his players. His problem was game management. I don't think any other HC in the league manages the final two minutes of a half worse then Herm Edwards does. The Full Monty
I feel bad for Herm, that was a sinking ship he went to. Scrubs at QB, a once great O line that was NEVER addressed by upper management and now is below average/average, and a RB whose a headcase. Sounds familiar. Maybe.
