Economics 101 Mr. Obama

Good move, ignore the truth, but worry about grammer on a message board.

What Truth was stated?

The President Bush Tax cuts focused on a specific economic group of people. This was done to support the "trickle-down" economic theory. During this same time frame, many of the beneficiaries of the tax cut still outsourced their labor needs overseas, or via low wage illegal immigrants. Notice I said many, not all.

Senator Obama plans to repeal those tax cuts, and put them in place for a different economic group of people. This will be done to support "trickle-up" economic theory.

In trickle-up economic theory, two benefits are acheived. The first enables the majority of consumers to have more of their money to spend, enabling them to buy things. This allows more things to be made and sold, thus providing some of that money for job creation/retention, and some of that money for the the business owners/investors as profit.

Some could argue that in trickle-down theory, the effects are the same. However, the problem is that the majority of consumers have to buy things on credit, until they are able to secure the jobs to supply the goods that they want to purchase. This is a double win for the economic class with all of the advantages already, and a net loss for the majority of consumers. It also harms the economy because of the requirement for debt at the start of the economic food chain. Finally, it all falls apart if the top tier of wealth does either of two things; 1) Doesn't spend much of their money, or 2) Makes extremely unwise investment choices in an effort to make money without making things or jobs. I think our current economic problems bear those points out all too well.

I made no comment on the content of his posts, only the delivery. Proper grammar (note the spelling) only increases your credibility in a medium where people literally only have your words to go by.

The reality of the message board medium is anyone can make spurious claims of intelligence and a background; the best way to gain credibility quickly is typically an effective delivery. That usually includes good grammar, as well as some good argumentative skill.

Credible enough if you understand Capitalism. Let me know when you run a company someday? Then you can talk. I employee over 100 people so I understand well enough.

So I guess you know the expense of medical coverage to businesses. I also guess you pay your taxes, which include medicare and social security.. to claim you are not a socialist is false.

So where do I send you your welfare check?

So if you give tax cuts to the rich it's capitalism but if you give tax cuts to the middle class it's a wellfare check?

He nailed it right on the head and instead of responding to his point, you chose to spout off with a ridiculous sound bite.

His point was, the middle class spends the money they have, most in the middle class live pay check to pay check, all of their money goes back into the economy. Money in the economy is good.

I guess you think that the middle class don't get tax cuts? Wow, how rediculous you sound. Amazing on the intellect level on these message boards.

They would get much more under Obama's policy. Not sure if you've been paying attention the last 8 years, but trickle down economics obviously doesn't work.

Do not repond to me again, I refuse to have a discussion with someone that can't argue their point without insulting the intelligence level of everyone they disagree with.

I'm not one to usually get on people about grammar but if you are going to attack someone's intellgence you might want to learn how to construct a sentence properly. Just a thought.

It's find on a message board, I don't need to or feel the need to. My MD degree speaks for itself. Last thing I need is approval from extremeskins. LOL

As far as extremeskins goes, I wouldn't get too comfortable, with your attitude and blatent disrespect for nearly everyone, you won't be around long.

You're correct but I don't have time to spell check or correct my errors. It's not that important in here. It was important when I was in medical school but not here. Thanks for your concern.

Speaking of intellect (and you spelled ridiculous wrong :silly:), you can claim whatever you want on the internets. It might even be true, but reading your posts leave me the impression you're not really that bright. I'm not referring to who you support in the election. You just type some fairly dumb **** in here recently (counting other threads, too). To me, it does cast some doubt about your claims, not that it matters that much, other than how stupid puffing yourself up is on an internet forum as part of making a point (depending on the context).

But I allow the benefit of the doubt, because I do know people who say and think really stupid stuff can still be successful. Hell, Jessica Simpson employees hundreds too. :)

I couldn't help noting one more thing. All the doctors I work with every day have never used the descriptor "MD degree." In fact, I have never heard anyone in that profession use that phrase in ten years. They say "medical degree" or simply "MD" or "doctor of medicine" or name their speciality, but "MD degree" is a new one. Sounds like something someone full of **** would say LOL. Of course, out of all very successful doctors I know, none employee a hundred people. :)

BTW, I think it's healthy that you don't need ES's approval.

And you do right? That's why you've been harassing people on a message board.

He's a doctor! He can do whatever the :censored: he wants!

He doesn't have to use correct grammar, proper grammar is for socialist!

Also, he's too damn good for this message board and all the dorks in here!

Just ask him.

Please explain. You have cited both your experience as an employer and your education as facts to bolster the weight of your opinion, rather than by logical and factual arguments.

Your posting effort seems a waste of time for a busy person if you are not looking for approval or validation.

Of course, you are certainly free to spend your time as you see fit.

that is a terrible argument. One is not a socialist because of what they are required to do by law. One is a socialist when they MAKE the law that way.

Untrue. One is a socialist if one lives and supports the socialist agenda. If you willingly pay taxes that redistribute the wealth from you into medicare or public education or jails or a court system or defense... then by the incredibly watered down definitions that are so popular recently you are a socialist.

By condoning and following the law, you give it your tacit agreement. Therefore, every member of this board (to my knowledge) is a socialist using the current Republican definition.

I have to disagree, at least in part. I think that you can still follow laws that you disagree with. It often takes decades to change laws, and most folks will go along in order to remain a part of society while actively trying to enact change in a legal manner. Folks who do that are not giving it tacit agreement.:2cents:
