Has the Tailgate become the Daily Kos?

I think it'll be the exact opposite, because McCain is going to win. At the last hour, voters will make up their mind that they do not want an extreme socialist like Obama in the White House.
Obama may be a drunken sailor spending liberal, but he's not an extreme socialist. When the gov't starts taking over farms and controlling the food supply, then watch out.

nothing personal asbury, but you are just as bad as I am most of the time. just because you post links to articles that you believe are more legit and unbiased doesnt mean that your attacks are any less then others. i was EXTREMELY shocked to see that you were a pastor this morning in another thread. I wouldnt have ever thought that and it just reaffirmed my beliefs.

this has nothing to do with you as a man or a human but just how you post and how i interpret your posts. :2cents:

I think the difference is that while I employ a great deal of sarcasm I'm not angry. I used to get angry on message boards but it dawned on me that it was pointless, so yes I use sarcasm and when I see what looks to me like BS then I call it. As for me being a pastor, yes I am, but I do not share the opinion that pastors are there to simply coddle everyone's views. For future reference when reading my posts just remember that I'm probably smiling as I sip on my 24oz bottle of Diet Mt. Dew while I type, because 99 times out of 100 that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm here to have fun, and enjoy a good debate or 10 on just about everything, but it would be a mistake to think that I'm angry when I post. Except maybe that 1 time in 100. ;)

I think some of our right-leaning friends fail to realize that people may actually reject their narrative on the basis of merit, not just political considerations.

wow, so you want to speak about this by throwing out **** like this towards a group why? because you dont like them? dont agree with them? just bitter in general?

You're a daisy if you do.

Both a leaning toward smears.

The Right is using smears focused on character ("pals with terrorists"), the Left is using smears focused on policy (scaring Seniors).

I think many would place these "smears on policy" into the "issues" category.

Interesting and I will do that from now on. As long as you can realize that I am not sitting here turning green and pounding my fists with rage while posting. If you notice from thread to thread that I am a different person. It just depends on how I think I am being approached. And like you I dont believe that I need to coddle people just because they may not like what they hear.

I'll go with the "don't agree" option. I do not agree with the strategy of serving :pooh: and then claiming that people refuse to eat it beacuse they are biased.

aaah, so you are trying to convince me that because I only argue because I am biased and not because I have my own core values and what I believe to be right?

how very interesting...

It seems to me like you get frustrated when people dont agree with you and present you with a decent defense so you call them names. :2cents:

The op fits comfortably into the same characterization. Did it bother you, as well?

if by OP you mean "original post" then I dont see it fitting the same. But if you mean by his posting history I dont normally pay attention to 90% of the people's history of posting. It is only the ones that I find myself engaging in conversations with that I normally get to an understanding with.

huh??? I believe I was arguing that failure of ES (as well as the media) to carry McCain campaign's narrative is not necessarily due to leftism.

Someone needs to tell the hulk that smoking is not good for him. Marijuana would be better. I prefer a mellow Hulk.

Yeah, I don't buy the Mike full of rage stuff, and personally I think that is a joke that has probably or at least ought to have run its course, typically when I'm posting I am addressing the comments that were made and unless its someone that I have a have a long history with I tend to not even pay attention to the log in name, in that way I try to address content for content and avoid the personal which gets us in trouble. But, keep in mind that when I'm addressing content I tend to do so with a bit of vigor. ;)

But, indeed Hulk...err...Mike.... cheers to ya.

BTW, if you want to hear from a rude pastor, read Martin Luther (circa 1500's) he used to call the Pope the "ass of a donkey" and other such terms of endearment, the grandfatherly pastor image is a recent development.
