Ive never seen that show but I will check it out.

Just the fact that she is so convincingly bad and a downright scoundrel in this role is awesome.

Eli Stone is in it's 2nd season. And it's a completely different typre of show then what most are used to.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eli Stone is an Americantelevisioncomedy-drama created by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, who also serve as executive producers alongside Ken Olin who directed the pilot, with Melissa Bermanproducing.[1]

The show stars Jonny Lee Miller in the title role of attorney Eli Stone. In the first episode, Stone is discovered to have an inoperable brain aneurysm which is causing hallucinations. His acupuncturist, Dr. Chen, suggests that his hallucinations are actually divinely inspired visions of the future. These visions often predict future cases and events, including an impending earthquake.

Premise

Greg Berlanti, who co-writes the show with Marc Guggenheim, described Eli Stone in Variety as "a Field of Dreams-type drama set in a law firm where a thirty-something attorney, whose name is the title of the show, begins having larger-than-life visions that compel him to do out-of-the-ordinary things."[14] Eli suffers from an inoperable brain aneurysm that causes him to have realistic hallucinations which often relate to the plot of that episode, and he may in fact be a modern day prophet.

Pop singer George Michael figured prominently throughout the first season of the series, and each episode has been named after a song of his.[15] Berlanti is a fan of Michael and tried hard to get him to appear on the show, and it turned out that Michael is a TV junkie. This led to the singer agreeing to do several episodes, including one in which Stone represents him in the case of a teen girl who plays the song "I Want Your Sex" in protest of an abstinence-only sex education program in her school.[16]

The show's legal setting, mixture of comedy and drama, and use of fantasy sequences has drawn comparisons to the series Ally McBeal from some critics.[17]

[edit] Autism controversy

The debut episode attracted controversy due to its plot line, which depicts the hypothesis that autism is caused by a mercury-based preservative formerly used in common childhood vaccines,[18] and treats the hypothesis as being credible and legally compelling.[19]This hypothesis is not supported by scientific evidence, but has contributed to decreased vaccination rates that endanger children.[20][21] The American Academy of Pediatrics asked ABC to either cancel the episode or include a disclaimer emphasizing that mercury is not used in routine childhood vaccines, and that no scientific link exists between vaccines and autism.[22] ABC instead decided to present a written notice and voice-over after the episode saying "The preceding story is fictional and does not portray any actual persons, companies, products or events",[23] with a second card directing viewers to the autism web site[24] of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.[23]

I know that Tig and Jax will end up going at it. I just wonder who Clay is going to approve of being killed. If Jax gets in the way of the club I dont even think his own mother will stand by him.

I think it will be more subtle than an all out war between Tig and Jax, because I think Tig kills Opie, and then later Jax finds out that Opie was set up, which will lead Jax to suspect that Opie was killed but won't know exactly who did it, the next few episodes will slowly draw Jax closer to the identity of Opie's killer which will cause a season finale showdown within SAMCRO.

Ok, so I missed the part where Opie switches with his wife, also thought there might be more episodes. Jax is gonna kill Tig in a bad way next week.

BTW, the Wendy/Tara thing is crazy and if Jax can't figure that one out then he needs to be beaten.

anyone else catch the season 2 premier?

i just finished watching it and this season has greatness written on it

one of the best shows on television

Such a sweet show.

I really like the Henry Rollins on the show, he's a badass, and his role with the white supremacist gang. Should definitely be interesting to watch unfold as they mix it up with the SAMCRO.

Watched it tonight. The Neo-Nazi thing is going to be interesting those guys are playing the chess game and right now the only one who has a clue is the Queen.

Opie is losing it, and Jax is ending up more and more isolated. I'm still trying to figure out how getting into the porn industry is going to play into all of this in the long run.

Good episode tonight, once again.

Love the soundtrack, the new North County EP featuring a few songs from the show is sick. One of the best theme songs on TV today IMO:

The friction between Clay and Jax is getting better and better, and I also like what Gemma's development this season as opposed to her mostly being just the icy matriarch of SAMCRO last season.

this season has a bunch of different dynamics to it:

clay vs. jax

the club members choosing sides

Hale's decision on whether or not to back Zobelle (the devil you know vs. the one you don't)

opie being somewhat reckless

add in the gemma's dealing with her trauma and her essentially grooming jax's girl for the role in the future

all of it makes for a damn fine season

Next week should be crazy with the majority of the crew in prison. I really thought, when Jax told Hale he was off "to lose my best friend," that he was finally going to tell Opie about what really happened to his wife. Shaping up to be a really great season!

After last night, I'm starting to wonder if they are progressing the Jax/Clay storyline too fast.

I don't think so, at first I worried about that but its becoming more and more clear that Clay's decisions are increasingly hurting the club. When was the last time that SAMCRO had an actual win? They're getting hit by the Neo's, the porn guy, and now the Mayans, all because Clay has put the club in bad positions and haven't thought ahead enough, this is increasingly weakening Clay's position and everyone in the club knows it. SAMCRO has their backs against the wall and something has to change, after all the Irish are now working through Zobell as such SAMCRO doesn't have an income source other than the movies but now that's under threat. I'll be interested to see what brings about the public show-down between Clay and Jax, but last night lit the fuse that will have everyone in the club asking questions about what Jax meant. What's more is that Clay is now questioning Tig. Something has to break the log jam of pressure or else SAMCRO is going to be destroyed both from the outside and from within.
