Evilskinzfan47
Missing man formations work on flyovers not football games. Decals, moments of silence, retired numbers all make sense. Your probably right.Hopefully we can get 4 F-15's to do the formation during a fly over.
redwoody86
I rsponded to an earlier thread on this...We line up with 10...the Bills get set up and committ a delay of game penalty...and we decline the penalty... This would be a 30 second tribute to ST. This is perfect, and it doesn't mess with the outcome of the game at all.
Sticksboi05
No offense but that's dumb. Portis wearing #21 is what's up. This would just pointlessly make the game sort of flawed. What we need to do is beat the snot out of the Bills and the rest of the teams on our schedule for Sean. Just play the game the way it is to be played. Taylor 21
I wouldn't mess with the game itself. I think they should just paint the 21st hashmarks black. I really like this idea. Nice Henry, did you think of this your self? This would be a great tribute to sean taylor. RIP Brotha.
SorrySkinsfromBuffalo
I'm a Bills fan, and first off, let me just say here in Bills country, we feel for you guys. Our prayers go with Sean Taylor and his family. You may think I'm biased, but I think Dick Jauron would definitely call a vanilla play...maybe a run up the middle or something for that. He's a class act. While not the greatest play caller (why we need a new OC...), he's a tremendous leader and has always come off as a classy, humble guy to me. Just my two cents. Our prayers are with ST.
chow184
I'm just saying USC did this for the kicker that died let the officials know whats up and thats it not a real snap but just a tribute line everyone up and have the bills QB just take a kneel down. no contact,no team loses or gains anything in the game. just a tribute to sean taylor
ashsra
Since ST was also on the kickoff team, I think it would be better if they just left his spot open, maybe took a delay of game penalty. That way you could pause before the moment and really appreciate it.
Bionickoolaid
this has prolly been covered somewhere, but do you think that there is a possibility that we run with 10 men for the first play of this game?
portisMVP
A good idea, but we have a game to win for Sean. He'll be watching, and would want the 11th man to put a hit on the WR as hard as he would (if they could hit like he could).
TGI Jef
i agree. it is a nice idea and would be quite a tribute, but sean would be screaming 'come on man - play some football' tgijef

In order to hit that hard we would have to hope Sean posesses Reed Doughty for a while.
Rdskn4Lyf21
We should do that on the first down....let ST's ghost inhabit that space....he'll always be there.
[[ghost]]
well, pete carroll sent his FG unit out and lined up with no kicker as a tribute to their kicker who died. let the play clock run out, took the 5 yard delay of game, then kicked.we should send out the defensive unit with no FS. maybe coordinate with the bills for that one play, let them snap and spike the ball. then let them either accept or refuse the 5 yard penalty. at that point, i dont really care. it would be an awesome gesture. All of these ideas are great. The hashmark idea this, the no-FS idea. Perhaps its because of the death, but I can't seem to disagree or get angry at anything. Everything seems so trivial compared to STs life.

DButz65
I am sure the military will do some sort of flyover right before or after the national anthem, maybe not a missing man formation (some of you know what that is here) but something similar

2006Skins
That would be a great idea, but it would be a penalty. Sean would be screaming PLAY SOME FOOTBALL! KNOCK HIM OUT!
[S.S.F. | Nero]
the fly over would be cool but i ment it more like the first defensive play leaving seans position empty. Odds are Losman would hit Evans right in the spot for a long TD. Sean Taylor will be missed for eternity.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
I say 10 men on the field, and a delay of game that we decline. Would that cause 2nd and 10? Any way we can have a play neutralized with 10 men on the field and no penalty assessed, would be great. The Bills will comply. Dockery will kill somebody if they don't. IONTOP
Screw football. I don't think it would be a penalty, just a handicap on D... I am all for this... Joe would probably do it, because it's a very classy move... The Bills may even agree to kneel down on the play...
pgsnzn
Rumor is that it is a collaborative effort. Bills would agree to a simple off tackle run so as not to take advantage of the tribute.
