edgun88
That would be a great idea, but it would be a penalty. Sean would be screaming PLAY SOME FOOTBALL! KNOCK HIM OUT! No it wouldn't. It's only a penatly if you have more than 11 players on the field.
God Help Me, I'm in Texas
You know, I thought about that earlier. Talk to the Bills, let it happen-with a moment of silence, if possible.
wormer
My wife heard one of the local tv sports guys say he would like to see the Skins go missing man on the first defensive play this week. Only 10 players, no free safety, in tribute to Sean. I think this would be a great.
hoskins
I think it's a great idea. There is no way the Bills would ever take advantage of that. In fact, if you think about it, it will be very awkward for them also on their first play against this D and against Greg Williams. How could they come out and throw deep on the first play against us anyway? This way, they join us in a tribute on the first play and then it's over and it's "play ball!" after that. This one off-tackle run is not going to make any difference in the outcome. We can let them go 5 yards and then it's 2 and 5. Who cares?
redskinsfan1201
ya this happened to a high school team where a kid died and they stared every first defensive series of the game with 10 players on the field. They did it every game.
SnotBubbles
That would be a tribute
vacanechaser
awesome idea... i agree.. the air force and navy fly a missing man formation....i think it would be awesome... it should be done... and whatever the bills decide to do, so be it... but i am sure with the situation they had this year, they would accept it and maybe just take a knee or something like that for one play... chow184
Like I said before, don't let it have any impact on the game, this run a play with 10 people stuff is crazy. just let the refs know that the "play" is a ceremonial tribute and thats all it is. heres what would happen teams roll out in whatever formation they want, skins with 10 players bills snap the ball and kneel it,and then hand it to the ref and the real game actually begins thereafter. Markman3200
I think that this would be incredibly powerful. There are some things that are bigger than football, and everyone will understand this move. I cannot think of anything which would represent how the team and the community feels better than this gesture
aszumilo
Maybe have Losman, or whoever is QB for the Bills, throw it deep ove rthe middle to an empty spot on the field. A spot usually covered by Taylor.
W1N_SKINS
we can coordinate something with the bills they can man up and take a 5 yard penalty then we follow it up with an encroachment or something
unsonny
“Missing Man” flyovers are performed only for funerals of rated pilots and aircrew members and are not covered in the Community Relations program. The Redskins could really show the league and the world something meaningful this game, if they chose to take Defense first and play the first play from scrimmage with only 10 players :logo:
Guest ComebackKing
We've been talking about this for over 5 pages already here http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223983&page=5 I wonder how realistic this idea could be. SUNSTONE
I think that would be wonderful. And the other team should show respect and just run the ball or even just take a knee or throw the ball away.

480SkinsFan
I like the tribute to where we send only 10 in on defense and the Bills QB throw the ball to where Sean would be playing and just let the ball drop to the ground.
soccerguy315
10 men is perfect. The Bills would probably run on the first play anyway, and they would definitely run if we had 10 people on the field. IMHO, missing man formations are only for military (don't know if that's actually a rule or not).

Doctorfro
The best tribute possible is to go out and lay wood on everyone. Defense, I wouldn't care if they got flagged. Let 'em do it like sean!
Tmac1577
The best tribute would be to see Sean's #21 go up in the ring of honor they should do that
