ConcordNCSkinsFan
Whether or not this rumor is true, Lavar is done as a full time player. The best position for him after his knee and achilles problems is as a situational role player.
ntotoro
He started to come into his and and then he got hit with the Achilles injury. ????? He was having a pretty lackluster (if not mediocre) season and had basically a few good plays against Dallas when he got hurt.
kappaluvacee
If lavar got cut it should indicate another Poston mistake. That mistake would be allowing him to buy his way out of his Redskins contract. As it stands right now, they would have been better off letting him get cut by the Skins and collect the remainder of his signing bonus. Those two siblings have to be tweddle-dee & tweedle-dumb. Inferno
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Giants cut LaVar, plus Chad Morton and Luke Pettigout. I laugh http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
ntotoro
Those two siblings have to be tweddle-dee & tweedle-dumb. They did manage to get Kellen Winslow Jr a fruit basket and a happy ending, though...

phishisthegreatstuff
haaaaaaaaa thats so funny...how many of you would want him back for a cheap price?
Hooper
Not a total surprise if true. Injuries have taken a toll on Lavar and robbed him of his freakish-explosiveness. By all accounts, he never learned the mental aspects of the game so what's the point of having him on the field?
Hooper
I criticize our inept front office more than anyone, but I will gladly admit -- in the end, they played the whole Arrington thing very well.
the burgundy and gold
hahaha wow, i cant believe Lavar got cut after one year. his knees are clearly pretty messed up. Damn his career has gone down hill so quickly. i really hope no one on this board suggests we pick him up, but you know they will.
Mr. S
the only believable cut is Morton. I wouldn't look too much into this story.
phishisthegreatstuff
I guess but wan't that one of the reasons bailey left? because we could only afford to give him or lavar big money and we chose lavar?
McMetal
YESS!!!!! I'm dancing on your grave, you big dummy! RIP Mr. Nickels and his trick knee. All talk, no performance. Good luck on your next big money contract, oafish one.

Hooper
If this is true, does he retire or try to weasel his way back to DC? That would be hilarious after all the trash he talked about Gibbs and company.
cyfar
?????He was having a pretty lackluster (if not mediocre) season and had basically a few good plays against Dallas when he got hurt. To me, he looked like a completely different player in that game. It appeared that he was starting to settle into the role that he was originally brought in for, but you did bring up an interesting point that it was Dallas' oline that he was playing against. I dunno, I could care less for the guy considering that he preached all that about wanting to be here for the fans and then bought his way off of the team. RFKFedEx
I guess but wan't that one of the reasons bailey left? because we could only afford to give him or lavar big money and we chose lavar? That's my theory, but the FO doesn't make that stuff public. BTW the FO did handle the Lavar fiasco very well. Once in a while they get it right. phishisthegreatstuff
I would sign him for the vet min. but other than that no way. It's really sad concidering this guy was one of the best lb's in college of all time.

DrunkenMaster
If Lavar wants back for cheap I say give him a try.
RedskinzOwnU
I had no problem letting Arrington go, and this vindicates that decision. Same with Chad Morton. This is downright hysterical if true. Vet min + incentives anyone? I think Lavar could provide some good depth behind Rocky.
