Boo frickety hoo!!

You know what, just shut the hell up and let some of us wallow in our misery, ok? Who knows you folks might just get lucky and the few Conservatives that are actually still around in this country will do ourselves in, or go somewhere else and you gutless, immoral, pathetic, POS, Liberals can have your Socialist Utopia in peace.

The real ***** of this is that I am a conservative but I've realized ****ing and whining doesn't do a damn bit of good in life.

I don't like it either, but hike up your skirt, pick up your balls and move on.

Nelms and MSF sound like Al Gore circa 2000. I think we need to send them both to tolerance camp. ;)

I'd go to a morgue first, thank you very much.

Tolerance of the inappropriate is something I've never been in favor of; and since everything that Liberals do is inappropriate, there can be no tolerance for them or their philosophy so far as I'm concerned.

If you were a true conservative, you wouldn't have accepted the last two Presidency elections, either. Many do not consider Bush and his merry band as true conservatives - just because they back some socially conservative ideas does not make them true conservatives, in the eyes of many. Unless True Conservativism is the Big Government, International Adventurism, fiscal sloppiness, increased national debt, little regard for the Consitution, etc. Perhaps defending American values is the true conservatism many seek, but I see many folks, who do not consider themselves to be conservatives, who not only defend American values, but joined the military and are willing do it with their lives.

My nephew recently graduated boot camp, and he is not a Republican or a Conservative. I believe you may need some relativism and realism if you consider those not in your fold to be the "enemy."

Bush and his cohorts are as close to Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater as this year's Redskins are to the '91 Redskins. And Bush's record in Texas was not that conservative - Bush just talked the talk.

Frankly, though, you are feeling the anger that may felt in the last two elections, and the reason why the Republicans were ousted from government. Except that many who consider themselves true conservaties, aka Paleoconservatives, voted against the Congressional Republicans as a result of their lack of conservative practices, corruption, etc.

One note, though - just because you don't like results of the elections doesn't mean that isn't "America." Many liberals had to accept the idea that many more folks than they realized really did support Bush in the last election. They found it hard to accept, and that is the weakness. And you may have to realize that the folks voted into office may in fact represent a desire for a new direction that isn't Republicanism nor is Bush's vision of America.

Even Rush Limbaugh said that Republicanism does not equate to Conservatism. This does not mean that it is a defeat for Conservatism. I wouldn't necessarily consider many who won in the as "conservative," per se, but they do have conservative influeces, which is a moderating force in the new Congress. Some of the new Congressional folks are fiscally conservative and support of key issues such as the second amendment.

Ironically, you may actually find some of the new Democrats to be actually more conservative than the Republicans they replaced.

Move on to WHAT?!?!?! That's what I've been trying to figure out for almost three days now. There IS NOTHING to move on to from what I can see at this point....

We've lost the War for American Society. I think that's plainly clear and about as brutally honest as I can be on the topic. Liberalism & Socialism rule the day in this country now. Unless you're willing to stand up, pick up a gun and do soemthing about it with me; we're ****ed!!!! It's that simple.

What small part of the Republican party MAY have been worth saving is now gone. It's powerless and unlikely to ever return to prominance in the party. There is no third party out there that I could get behind, as I've discussed before. Democrats will take the White House in 2008 and at that point in time, the whole idea of America that was born out of the blood and sweat of my forefathers will be irrevocably GONE. There will be no more America, if there even is today.

Seriously, you'd think some of you have never heard of election cycles before.

This country isn't 'going liberal' or anything. The party in power lost it's support after a few years. It happens in this country all the time.

Hell, it could be argued that this country is getting more conservative considering how much more conservative the Dem candidates were this time around. Take the aforementioned Webb, for instance. The guy would have been a Republican a few years ago. In fact, I think he was.

It was a South Park reference. If you had watched the episode, you would have actually appreciated the statement.

yah but hes inciting hatred towards liberals. I'm liberal and some of my best friends are conservative, yet I don't think they're the scum of the earth.

And that's part of the problem, nuposse. Liberals don't understand how to treat their enemies. They try to treat their enemies like friends.

If there was anywhere else to go, I would have been gone a LONG TIME AGO, Spiff. That's largely why I've been contemplating the eternal dirt nap... because there apparantly no longer IS a place for me in this world.

What, you're suicidal over this?

Unbelievable.

Seek some help man, seriously. I appreciate your passion for this subject, but if thats what this is coming to, you really need to talk to someone.

Can't remember the U.S.S.R. celebrating after one of our elections.

this might be about cycles, but it is more about what are Democrats are known for. The next two years will be interesting.......
